Alvaro was able to resolve contentious inheritance issues that other attorneys couldn't. He remained patient and professional amidst the bickering and produced an outcome accepted by all. Alvaro is personable and intelligent and his fees are very reasonable relative to other attorneys we used.

Mr. Sanchez prepared our wills and directives a few months ago. His expertise and willingness to take his time with all our questions was beyond what we had experienced in the past and was very much appreciated. Mr. Sanchez and his assistant's professionalism was well observed and admired. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Mr. Youngner’s services are exceedingly professional, expert and effective. My case involved delicate interaction with local and higher Headquarters military authorities and necessitated an insightful and experienced understanding of U.S.Code and Military Law and the nuanced application of each. In all, Mr. Youngner's level of expertise and communication skills were direct, insightful and complete, enabling optimum case resolution. I simply cannot compliment Mr. Youngner enough for all his truly exceptional work, completed on my behalf, including responding to an urgent legal matter during his personal time off. His ongoing case management was always complete; and at the same time, his client interaction was always courteous and personable. His knowledge of the subject matter and grasp of my case’s impacts also enabled max effectiveness in dealing with all related authorities. The support staff at Tully Rinckey is as well warm, competent and professional (especially his assistant Ms Sherry Holland). Tully Rinckey PLLC is a superb law firm and Mr. Youngner is in particular, an outstanding civilian, military attorney.

I had been seeking justice for many years on my own, but it was to no avail due to the tangled administrative and military laws and lack of support. I finally found Larry at what felt like the last hour, because I couldn't fight anymore. Larry heard me, and not only believed in my case, but he believed in me and the cause. It was an intense case and after all these years of hardship and trauma I was finally made whole and it is absolutely attributed to the in-depth expertise, unique approach, and genuineness of Larry. He spoke the truth in the most honorable and strategic manner and the military finally heard me, because Larry stood up for what was just. I couldn't believe it, but I received a positive outcome in less than 4 weeks after the military board heard my case through Larry. For any individual seeking justice, through not just a lawyer, but through someone who is actually compassionate, straightforward, positive, and fully vested in you, then look no further. Larry is a rare lawyer, because he is first a human and he invests everything he has and more to support you first, and the rest will follow.

In my opinion, Mr. Youngner is a very sharp attorney and advocate. He communicates clearly (and is available). After reviewing my case, Mr. Youngner found more than two additional points of noncompliance by the offending department in my appeal for correction. Mr. Youngner and his team kept me informed of the status of my case at regular intervals. He sets reasonable expectations and meets them. Dealing with a large and impersonal bureaucracy, a person needs an advocate as effective as Mr. Youngner. I highly recommend Mr. Youngner.

My only regret is that I did not meet Chris and his team sooner. After my divorce was finalized, I began working with Chris to modify the judgement (unfortunately he was not my original divorce lawyer). He was very forthright and knowledgeable and provided excellent advice throughout the proceedings. He also took an aggressive stance when my ex tried to sue for her attorney’s fees. He won the case despite the fact that the judge clearly favored my ex. He won it by diligently researching case law and aggressively presenting our case, all the while being professional. I frankly can’t recommend him enough. I sincerely hope I’m never in need of an attorney again but if I am, Chris will be my first call. Again, I can not recommend him and his team enough!

Changing attorneys and hiring Chris was the BEST decision I made! My ex-husband spent 5 times what I did on his attorney. But Chris and I won every point in our case. He is an expert at the research necessary to make the necessary points to win. He read the judge during our trial, changed course, and was spot on with his interpretation of what was needed. Esther was amazing at taking care of the details and being a liason between Chris and I. I never had to wait on them. My time was respected, too. Don't let his youth fool you. He knows what he is doing. He explained the options and consequences to me thoroughly and ultimately gave me the best advice during a difficult time. I'm so glad I trusted him. If you decide to trust him also do whatever he tells you to do. He knows how to present your case and WIN! ***He is THE BEST at what he does!***

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Cape Coral, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
