I contacted Mr. Gutin, after almost a year of trying to understand where or how to divorce my European ex-spouse living in Malaysia. From the first phone call with Mr. Gutin, suddenly everything seemed much simpler, faster, and clear cut. I was impressed by how responsive he was, responding to questions by text on a Sunday afternoon, or a late evening email. I was also very grateful for his compassionate personality, and human way of guiding me through the process of starting with what is the standard way of doing things and then really listening to what I wanted or needed. He asked me questions to thoroughly understand my situation and rather humanly extended his advice and different options I might consider when adapting my Marital Settlement Agreement and my Parenting Plan. The jury acquitted me on both counts (racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering RICO) on January 17, 2003, following a two week trial in Orange County, Florida. No discovery was handed over voluntarily and state witnesses dodged depositions as if they were ordered to by agents or prosecutors and told that there wouldn't be a trial at all.
