Hiring this firm was a lifesaver for our family! At a time when I was first incapacitated due to a severe stroke and desperately in need of direction, Edward was understanding, kind, and compassionate. We immediately formed our partnership. Being paired with Tanja was exactly what we needed. She was concerned and kind regarding our situation, generous with her time answering our every question with her easy manner and infinite patience. My wife and I are thankful to have Dabdoub and their team representing us!

From the first interaction with Eddie Dabdoub I felt comfortable and felt like someone was on my side. My long term disability company had ceased paying and an attorney friend referred me to his firm. I was placed in the capable hands of attorney Latanae Parker who designed a plan to prove my case which ultimately led to my monthly payments being restored and paid in arrears what they owed me over the last year. Ms. Parker and her assistants were always kind and quick to respond. I highly recommend that if anyone is having difficulty with their LTD company to call Dabdoub Law Firm. Thanks again Ms. Parker! I am very grateful for your expertise and advice.

If you are looking for an EXCEPTIONAL disability insurance law firm, look no further than DABDOUB LAW!! After interviewing several law firms and researching ERISA Law, my father & I agreed, hands down, that attorney KEVIN PROBST at Dabdoub Law was our #1 pick!! We knew fighting the powers of ERISA Law required a “big gun” attorney and firm. I am so GRATEFUL to Kevin, and his team, for working tirelessly on my claim and never taking “no” for an answer. I live in a city that doesn’t have any ERISA Law Firms, yet my attorney, KEVIN PROBST, was always just a phone call away! He spoke with us on numerous occasions throughout the different stages of my claim and patiently answered our many questions. Kevin always provided excellent guidance & demonstrated outstanding response times with every form of communication. KEVIN PROBST is very empathetic, compassionate and understanding. More importantly, he went above and beyond to help me in my time of need. Kevin continually re-assured me how he was building a strong case for my claim, not to just win the appeal and put me back on claim, but to also set my claim up for future success in the event we went to litigation. DABDOUB LAW is not a cookie cutter law firm. I would categorize them more like a “concierge” type of law firm that puts their client first. Further, they don’t waste money on unnecessary expenses that aren’t needed for your claim which, in turn, helps to put more money in your pocket!! Whether you’re looking to Appeal a disability insurance/ERISA policy that was denied/closed, needing to negotiate a buy out settlement, or headed to litigation, DABDOUB LAW is not afraid to go toe to toe with any disability insurance policy!! Plus, they are a well known NATIONWIDE law firm that’s fully equipped to handle any type of disability insurance claim. Kevin Probst truly exemplified to me that he is the expert in ERISA law by WINNING MY CASE from start to finish! As a bonus you get the WHOLE TEAM of lawyers at DABDOUB LAW. This power house team of attorneys discusses and strategizes together on your behalf regardless of who is chosen or appointed as your attorney. Additionally, the entire staff is fully trained and proficient to help you with your claim, assist with any necessary steps and answer any questions or concerns. The only regret I have now is that I didn’t hire KEVIN PROBST/DABDOUB LAW when my STD was denied. At the time, I thought I had no choice but to try and Appeal their denial on my own and push forward by going back to work injured, afraid for my health and in pain. Even with all my provider’s support and medical documentation, I now realize that this was a losing battle without an attorney like KEVIN PROBST! I’d like to give my sincerest thanks and a big shout out to KEVIN PROBST for managing my claim to a VERY SUCCESSFUL & FAVORABLE OUTCOME. As Kevin would say … we not only won the battle but the war as well!! If your disability insurance/ERISA policy has been denied, give yourself the peace of mind and hire KEVIN PROBST at DABDOUB LAW. I promise, you will not be disappointed!!

Frank Maderal helped me collect a lot of money with a lawsuit that started 2019. He worked hard and took care of all the judges orders and more! Through out the years frank and team continued working diligently to settle a class action lawsuit against a big drug company. It was not easy but he kept working with the court until we all finally settled! Thank you Frank you are the best!

It was a pleasure to work with Yoel Molina. I needed an employee offer letter and confidentiality and non-solicitation agreement reviewed for compliance with Florida law. Mr. Molina provided comprehensive written comments that were clear and informative at a reasonable price. Great experience.

What Questions Should I Ask Before Hiring a Lawyer?

Hiring the right lawyer is crucial for the success of your case. Here are some important questions to ask during your initial consultation:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the expected timeline for my case?

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Coral Gables, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
