Did not add much to the transaction. Tried to charge me more than initially discussed. Not tough enough and on top of specifics. Tried to keep RE tax money owed to me until I threaten to report her to the bar. Look elsewhere. Would not use her again.

I am completely shocked that I even wasted my time contacting this unprofessional so called lawyer. I am currently going through a serious matter. My whole home is infested with toxic mold. I have a six month old child and my main concern was the safety of my family. I reached out to Jackie assuming she was interested in my case she asked me to send all the information, so I followed up a week later, after doing so. Her secretary was extremely pleasant and said she was waiting for my call. When she transferred me over to Jaquie, she was extremely rude and hostile. I explained to her again briefly our situation and she goes to us you’re going to have to sue, ( which is why I’m calling her obviously) . So I said that’s exactly why we’re reaching out to you to see what steps we need to take since you’re the professional. So she start saying this extremely fast and snappy “you will need receipts proof of everything I charge $2500 and $350 an hour”. I explain to her I have all the necessary documents. She seemed to be trying to deter us away from her practice for whatever reason, very rude short and uncompassionate . I’m just shocked that we reached out to a person who clearly showed no compassion and was extremely hostile and try to push us away for no given reason. Her profession, as a lawyer is to be compassionate towards people and help them, and clearly her behavior was extremely unprofessional. If you’re looking for a lawyer, who actually cares, she is not the one.. She will try to deter you away by scaring you using her tactic, saying how much everything is and how much she charges an hour, and that you need all these documentations, which I clearly had. I’m very thankful. I’m glad we didn’t go with her. Edited: and to clarify, I have never asked for anything to be free, so I’m a bit confused? That is just disappointing that you have to resort to falsely accusing myself of that and stating I don’t have the money, it was your unprofessional approach that deterred us from you. I reached back out to follow up with the papers you requested and your secretary even stated she was waiting to hear back from me. It’s unfortunate you assumed me reaching out to you was for free legal advice. That’s not the world we live in. I would have graciously paid you if you took the proper time and respect to review our case and followed up. Let me remind you it’s people like myself who keep you in business, that is why it’s called a business. God bless
