Mr. Barnette is an exceptional lawyer. He represented me during my divorce proceedings and could not have asked for a better lawyer to represent me. From my initial consultation with him until the end of my proceedings his expertise, knowledge and experience were extremely helpful in protecting my interest. He is very methodical and gives you best- and worst-case scenarios. Extremely talented, focused and genuinely looks out for your best interest. Shows compassion and makes you feel extremely comfortable during the entire legal process.

Michael stepped in to my divorce case after my first lawyer retired on me with little notice. He handled my case expeditiously through everything and got me to the end of a long process of divorce. I highly recommend Michael to anyone going through divorce.

Originally I went in to speak with his partner but was referred to Michael due to the location of the court issues. Expensive? Yes. But what lawyer isn't? Everyone in the area as well as Orlando was around the same cost, so then it became a hunt for quality. Quality is what I freaking found! Through my divorce Michael brought reality to light. The law sucks and it's not a justice system. It's a legal game. I was fortunate enough to hire an insightful professional who did actually care. He had a very calm, very non-reactive demeanor which was perfect because it expressed patience and an unwavering disposition towards my opposing lawyer who was actively trying to completely screw me over. Michael Barnette was nothing but kind, patience, truthful (even if blunt. Which is necessary because the law doesn't care. So you're gonna hear fact and nothing else from him, especially with him being on your side) and at heart a good person. Don't forget, this IS a business but at least it's a business where good people are involved. I owe them a debt for their work and diligence that money cannot pay. And I will hold a thankfulness for what they've done for me forever. I would absolutely be happy to have them work with me in the future and vice versa, I just hope and pray I don't need to. 9 minutes ago I had Michael as my attorney since 2014. He was there when I had a divorce and was there when my ex-wife tried to take our son to a different state. Michael is very precise in his courtroom presence, but very caring as we built the case. He always listened to what I wanted to do and recommended the best course of action. I will to continue to use Michael Barnette because of his thoroughness, attention to detail, his professionalism, and mannerisms with my elderly witnesses. I have had several lawyers over the past 6 years and while each of them brought a certain skill set that was perfect for the time we needed them no one has done what Michael does. He walks you through the process and gives you multiple scenarios to consider when handling child custody cases. He is very thorough and honest. He also makes sure that we are doing what we need to do as parents to maintain our daughter's best interest regardless of our emotions. He is thoughtful and kind and though he has many clients he remembers each case, personally. We genuinely respect and admire his work and would recommend him to anyone we know based on his expertise, his compassion, and his genuine care for his clients.

During my consultation Mr. Barnette listened to my situation and concerns. He's showed compassion to me and for my child. He explained too me everything he was going to do for my case.
