Ms. Downey assisted my family with the battle of my nephews..she was not only so helpful but there for us on all hours of the day.. may god bless her cause she is our angel.. words cannot even describe what she has done for our family and keeping us together.. My lawyer,Margherita Downey,was referred to me by a well regarded Judge of Divorce and Family Court in South Florida. She is highly regarded and well respected in her field of expertise. My case was closed and divorce finalized however,like many divorced Mothers experience,I was not paid alimony correctly for several years. Ms. Downey gave me hope that justice would be served,this time. She fought to the end with me and prevailed. 5 Stars Plus!

I was scared. The thought of having my children uprooted from the only thing they know was overwhelming. I spoke to numerous attorneys regarding my divorce and parenting plan options for my children. There were some helpful ones, but none measured up to what Attorney Downey presented me with. I was finally getting divorced after 5 years of separation. My concern was that I would have to split time sharing down the middle, and that I would have to give up time with my children, when I have been the sole caretaker for last 5 years. My 15 year old does not have relationship with him, and my 11 year old is alright seeing him, but wasn't alright with overnights. I didn't care about liabilities, child support, I just wanted my children's welfare well represented for various reasons. She truly understood my wishes and concerns, it wasn't just legal talk, or a sense of "oh we can get him for this and that". She explained to me in realistic terms what I could expect and what actions I could take in my case. When others told me I would have to conform to equal time sharing and overnight visits, she was the only one that pointed me to the right direction where I could express my concerns with regards to the welfare of my children.
