Professionally, he has helped dozens of my clients in long term care planning and for caring for a child of special needs. We were referred to Mr. Solkoff by two separate sources, my brother's attorney in New York and my mother's neurologist in Florida. Both said that Mr. Solkoff was not only one of the top Elder Law Attorneys in the country but a nice and caring man. We were super pleased. Mr. Solkoff related complex legal concepts in bite-size drawings and explanations. He made us face some difficult issues we had been avoiding and I cannot tell you how much peace of mind we now have. He has other attorneys who work for him and they help also. Mr. Solkoff spent at least three hours with us at the first meeting because we had a lot of questions and were having a major problem that requires immediate fixing. Mr. Solkoff and another lawyer working for him were responsive (I always got calls back within the day), professional, knowledgeable (he has a copy of his book on the table when we meet), and it is clear that he cares. The only negative is the fee and the wait. It took us over a month to get an appointment, though we did get in earlier when a spot opened up in his calendar earlier. The fee was higher than we expected but I now see that we have saved many times that amount and good service and advice, in our case, was well worth it. I also want to say that mr. Solkoff was GREAT with my mother who can be very difficult. Great bedside manner.
