I recently hired Mr. Gillis to represent me for some pretty serious charges that were filed against me. I was charged with a second degree felony as well as a third degree felony, and boy am I glad I hired David. From my first meeting with him the day after my release from jail, to yesterday, when the state dropped the charges, David knew what to do every step of the way. Within a week of my release from jail, Mr. Gillis had scheduled a hearing to modify the terms of my pre-trial release. The hearing was a success, and we got the decision we were looking for. Two weeks later to the day, I received a phone call from David informing me that the state was not going to pursue my case and the case was dismissed. What a relief! Throughout the whole process, David was on top of everything. From checking up on me multiple times throughout my ordeal, to acting swiftly with regard to setting hearings to try to make my life easier, he took care of it all; and he took care of everything as professionally as one could hope for. While I am not planning on ever getting in any sort of trouble with the law again, the fact is that it is always a possibility.
