Our app which has over 10 million downloads was suddenly taken down from the Google Play store without any prior notice. Apparently, a foreign music label claimed copyright infringement and submitted a false claim to Google. Scott quickly provided guidance on the proper language to submit via an Appeal to Google, and greater guidance on the legal ramifications of the complaint, when/how to communicate with the foreign company directly, and general knowledge of the music industry around this topic. Most importantly, he leveraged his contacts within Google to better understand best practices and appropriate course of actions. Within 6 days, our app was live in the store! I have worked with Scott extensively on a number of trademark matters involving complex and contested use of valuable marks that directly affected the markets for valuable products.
