I hired Peyton Bolin to provide legal assistance with an issue in my HOA, where the HOA is responsible for certain things, in this case, the fences. Based on all the photos I sent, along with governing documents, correspondence, etc., I sent to Peyton Bolin, I was informed numerous times by the Peyton Bolin attorney, that my case would be easily handled but would probably have to go to mediation because the HOA lawyer did not seem to be looking at everything. I advised the Peyton Bolin attorney that the HOA lawyer was provided incorrect information. Soon after Peyton Bolin collected their fee from me, and the HOA lawyer responded to them that I was responsible for that portion of the fence, Peyton Bolin refused to go any further, saying I wasn't happy with the outcome so I should go elsewhere. There was no outcome...they got paid, wrote a letter, accepted the HOA lawyer's response (even with proof that he was wrong), and would not provide additional services, which I was willing to pay for. It appears that it didn't matter if I was right or wrong, and as mentioned, the attorney I dealt with said I was right. The Peyton Bolin attorney would not even discuss the matter with me. She sent an email and had her boss call to advise me they were done. This firm did the very least they could do to help a homeowner, seeming to care more about making quick money, than doing what was right with the case. I would never use this firm, nor would I recommend them for any legal matter on behalf of a homeowner.

John was super responsive and gave us great advice settling a claim against our insurance agent after hurricane Irma . I would definitely recommend John.

John Amen was recommended to me in 2014 when I was injured in a car accident. He was fantastic right from the start. I'd never been injured before and was clueless on what to do. They are the worst law firm ever! They discriminate vs person's with disabilities and do not end up honoring contracts. They should change there mission statement instead of saying they are willing to work with you, it should be we are willing to take advantage of you and screw you over and over.

Spoke on phone with Esq. Ameen. Seemed very knowledgeable . Very interested in case; however, I could only come up with half of the retainer he requested. I would love to hire him though after our discussion, but the money just isn't there.

I used John Ameen previously as a Plaintiff in the Class Action Smoking Lawsuit after my mom died from smoking. It was all done over the phone. His staff was incredible, polite and they always got back to me immediately. The case was settled and to my surprise I kept receiving more checks after the initial payout! I thought they did a great job. I remembered John Ameen after I fired another attorney who did nothing, and who was referred to me to go up against a big insurance co. I did not realize John did insurances lawsuits. To my surprise and gratitude, he did! I had a very complicated situation after my home was vandalized during a short sale (house was vacated), and after I moved back home to this house, we had a huge flood in my home due to a defective and poor install of a used AC system a few years later. Because I provided excellent discovery and had proof of everything, John, at my urging, and persistence did go after the company (provided by the Lender) who was responsible for my home while vacant and the insurance company for the flood. They both would not accept responsibility, and the ins. co sent me $800.00 for a $78,000.00 claim for damages! A year later, after John's hard work, he calls me out of the blue and said he had a large check for the vandalism claim. I was blown away! It came at a great time. a few months later we were able to settle with the insurance co. for a great amount too. They were very difficult to deal with, but with my urging, and John's finesse, class and professionalism, we prevailed.....again. Hats off to his Paralegal Alexandra (Alex). She is so sweet and professional and ALWAYS willing to help me out. She never said NO to me once. Very caring law firm. I highly recommend John if you ever want to go up against those idiots at "that" insurance co. or any co for that matter. He knows his stuff and listens to his clients concerns all the time. When he didn't think my suggestions were valid, he told me in a nice way, and I felt like we became friends after all of this. I went through a very difficult time and got sick due to the flood in my house. John was always compassionate and caring every step of the way. I am so happy we settled and now I am fixing my house back to a normal state again since I won this lawsuit. John, you have no idea how you helped me and my family out, I am forever grateful!
