Mr. Wetter not only is a talented, honest attorney, but he is a fighter for the small guy. We are so grateful for all he has done to get this case dismissed. Apparently now days, you are guilty until proven innocent in Lee County. Thanks to Steven, he was able to represent me perfectly to show the judge that I indeed was innocent and was wrongly accused. I'd never had the need to hire a criminal law attorney before, so this process was all new to me. I hired Attorney Steven Wetter in April 2023 and he was by far the most amazing attorney I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Steven wetter goes above and beyond and cares for each client as one of his own family members. He saved my while in jail during a road trip to tn and had got my hold from another state while in Tennessee dropped and got me out of Tennessee jail and kept me from having to be extradited back to Florida. He always fights for a better deal and won't stop till he gets one. He also got my entire case dropped, every last charge from a case that got dragged out over two years and was mainly all felonies. I used this attorney in good faith that he would do everything possible to help my under age son with his first offense. He reiterated he was an expert on getting the courts to agree to the youthful offender program. We waited months without any follow through or news, the only response was, "we haven't received the states offer." Almost a year later, we get one offer and he tells the state " he will sell it". And "sell it" he did. The easy way out, without a fight. He didn't depose the victims or police officers. He piggy backed out of another attorney who represented the kid who committed the exact same crime with my son and who was also the driver. That attorney was always so well prepared and helped get the other offender for the exact same crime 6 months VERSUS my son who was committed to 6 years. And he wasn't even the driver. How can there be such disparity in conviction and results? When we received the states offer, he said that was our BEST option, he never said an open plea would be worth it, he deterred us from it. He said "if my son gets more than 20 years, per an email he sent, then we will ask for it". And so I listened. To the wrong person. Who was simply too busy to care to push his hardest for this case. My son was a victim of your lack of apathy and commitment. What is worse, he is too proud to admit it, and truth COULD have set my son free. I will NEVER forget what you did and how you made us feel.

It's unusual to meet such a great person under such bad circumstances, but that is what happened when I called Steven Wetter. I got into trouble with the law with a felony gun charge and steven wetter the best lawyer in ft myers was very honest and straight forward i spoke with other guys before him and he seemed like the most professional and the most straight foward guy in town and beat all the other guys by a mile !
