Gus was my attorney for my Family Law/Child Custody case. I originally went to him for what I thought would be a simple Modification of Time Sharing Petition. My case ended up being everything but simple and, it dragged on for over 4 years. Throughout the entire process, Gus was nothing but honest and straight forward. He would always tell me the truth instead of what I wanted to hear and, in these types of cases, that is what you need. He always gave me his best advice on how I should proceed. He is very prompt and, responded to my phone calls and/or e-mails rather quickly. My case went to trial and, Gus was nothing but professional and well prepared. He prepped all of my witnesses (I had over 10, including one expert witness) and, he did an outstanding job at my trial. Mr. Simmons helped me with my child custody case. He kept me informed and up to date with everything. He is very knowledgeable, and I would recommend him to anyone. The only downside to Mr. Simmons is that he is not an aggressive attorney. He is more of a mediator, and he does try to get clients to settle. In my opinion, his non-aggressive approach can be good and bad. It all depends on your individual case. What i enjoyed most about Simmons Law Firm, is that Mr. Simmons is the only attorney in that office. So when you have questions, you are only speaking to him, not abunch of partner attorneys. For a one man law firm, he does very well with responding to lhone calls, emails etc.
