I am not from Florida but after getting in some legal trouble here, I had no clue who to trust to handle my case. On 21 September 2015 I was arrested and thrown into a military prison. I was falsely accused of rape and domestic violence by my wife. I had been married for 8 years and was in the United States Coast Guard. I hired Mr. Brett Schwartz to defend or litigate a civil injunction/restraining order that my wife filed with the county. My wife stated that I was dangerous and abusive to her and my son. I highly recommend, Mr. Schwartz as he is very professional, genuine, and honest and will work diligently to litigate your case, quickly and efficiently with the best possible outcome. After spending 10 months in pre-trial confinement, I was found not guilty of rape and domestic violence by a military jury panel. I was returned back to service with the Untitled States Coast Guard. While I was in pre-trial confinement waiting for my federal criminal trial, Mr. Schwartz extended my civil injunction/hearing on more than 4 occasions until I was free from confinement. On 16 November during a 20 hour civil hearing, in Miami Fl, Mr. Brett Schwartz was able to litigate in front of a female Judge that my wife was a liar, vindictive, manipulative and a narcissistic person willing to do anything to put her husband in jail. Mr. Schwartz's knowledge of the law and courtroom tactics was quite evident as he made relevant and aggressive objections to the opposing council on numerous occasions. His cross examination technique is impeccable and he was able to impeach my wife on multiple occasions. Brett Schwartz is without a doubt the best civilian lawyer money can buy and is an amazing speaker. Mr. Schwartz is a great "General" and will lead you into battle in the courtroom with honor and integrity and will give you his all. Mr. Schwartz was able to lead me to victory that day and the permanent injunction was denied by the Judge and she dismissed the case in my favor. Trust Mr. Schwartz to lead you to victory. Mr. Schwartz had the utmost respect, professionalism and trustworthiness during my court proceedings. He kept me very informed and genuinely cared about my case which made me feel safe with my decision to hire him. He is worth every dime I paid.

I must share a remarkable experience I had with Attorney John Hager. After a sleepless night, last night, hoping for an absolute miracle, my prayers were answered when Attorney Hager this morning spoke up in battle on behalf of my love one and asserted his professional expertise of law to terminate his probation. Attorney Hager was met with fierce adversity, but fought the great fight and won his case, thereby giving my Son his freedom to begin a new life, effective immediately. What a man, what a lawyer. I have experienced, first hand, what a "real, experienced" representative of the court should really be about when representing his client. When you go through such a terrible experience, the best thing is to have the right people in your corner. I was facing felony charges up to 25 years in prison and thankfully, the charges were declined and I never had to step foot in a courtroom. I was so pleased with the great representation from this firm. The staff is professional, kind and they work hard to help their clients get the best outcomes possible. I was arrested on June 13th 2015, for a violation of probation and picked up a new charge as well. I was being held on a charge that has no bond. John Hager assured me he would do his best to fight for me. Besides having a judge that never approves a bond for violations John never eased up, and assured me that my case would be handled as a top priority. My family and his assistant were in communication constantly. I would just like to thank John and his firm sincerely for fighting for my freedom and reuniting me with my family again.

This is the second time I use Hager & Schwartz! My son was looking at 2 years prison time for violating probation. Again John displayed his expertise by being compassionate, understanding and fast-thinking. He got my son 2 years house arrest followed by 2 years probation. I heard the judge with my own ears tell John "I see no reason for him not to be in prison." My son came home. He asked John to appeal that sentence as he did not want to be in the system for another 4 years (keep in mind he went in for VOP.) So John did what he does best and got my son a deal my son could live with. He got my son 364 County time with 57 days time served. He would only have to serve 85% of his sentence, meaning my son would be in jail for approximately 8.5 months. I am happy to say my son will be home in 6 months. John is an ethical, courteous, well-organized and brilliant attorney. I believe in him and his assistant Thuy Le. Together they created miracles! I would recommend John to any and everyone that needs an attorney that's understanding and has great ability to communicate. The first time I used Hager & Schwartz, John saved me when my complex name change case was heading down the proverbial creek, with me in it. At our first meeting John listened to my situation, patiently answered all my questions, and proposed an entirely different strategy for the name change. Previous rulings and negotiations had been going against me and he turned everything around. I would recommend John for any legal situation where you want a fair legal outcome!

I pray I will never be in a situation like that again. And if I were, Mr. Hager is on my speed dial. He took his time with me, communicated with me at all times, and never left me in the air regarding my case. It was the most stressful situation of my life, and John Hager gave me peace of mind. John Hager is an amazing lawyer. My case was handled with care and professionalism, two terms that don't often appear in the same sentence when speaking of law & lawyers. The payment terms were adjusted so that the impossible was made possible. 5 stars here.
