I prayed about my situation and finding an Attorney who would have my interest at heart. Karen delivered! She was very honest, compassionate, and always available to answer questions concerning my case. Thank you Karen for a job well done, and exceeding my expectations!

she is a terrible attorney. she was hired for a case that needed immediate attention, and did nothing for almost three weeks. i could never get a hold of her, or the paralegal she told me i needed to contact because she was too busy. eventually, i fired her because she lost her temper with me when i asked when she would be working on my case. i suggest using any other attorney you possibly can over hiring Mrs. Yochim. if you do hire her good luck trying to get your calls or questions answered, or getting any work done on your case.

My divorce and custody for a handicap daughter had several caveats, Ms. Yochim handled my case very professionally throughout the process. She and her staff were up front and honest and at the end of the day I have sole custody. If I were to move into the Gainesville area. I will using there firm again.

I highly recommend Karen Yochim! She was effective and easy to work with. Karen was recommended to me by a friend for a paternity case and I'm so thankful for the recommendation. Before I went to visit Karen, I was a bit overwhelmed. She walked me through the process, executed the plan we discussed, and never over billed me. I would hire Karen again.

Karen handled my Child Support Modification and represented me in resolving a dispute with my Ex-wife concerning our child's schooling. She took my case with very short notice and came to court well prepared. Karen was able to sift through my stack of paperwork and filter out what was important to the case. She was very level headed and able to confidently deal with a more experienced opposing attorney . She sited examples of case law that greatly influenced the judges decision in my favor. Her billing was fair and reasonable. I greatly appreciate her advice and wisdom in handling my affairs.

Karen represented me thru a divorce. I was impressed from the get-go with her broad knowledge of law and her decisiveness. She accurately sized up my predicament early on, and helped me navigate thru an extremely difficult situation as efficiently as I believe was possible.

CASE 1: I originally hired Karen Yochim to handle my divorce. Pretty much went off without a hitch but my ex and I had already came to an agreement so alls she had to do was file the appropriate paper work. CASE 2: I paid 1500 dollars for her to draw a will for me. My only question was about some jet skis I owned. She didn't know the answer. Approx. 2 months went by, hearing nothing, I called to find out the status of my will, nothing had been done. I complained to her associate and was assured she would contact me. No calls, no emails! When I hired her for my will, I had also hired her for my fathers remaining estate which only consisted of money left in a bank account as well as in his VA account. When it came to my will after 8 months she never even started it. I still never got my will and she finally admitted she owed me a refund and issued it. CASE 3: My fathers estate. This was total negligence in every sense of the word. It has been 18 months. At this point there was no backing out. She completely filed incorrect information regarding the amount and what accounts it was in. Now the bank won't release the money because of her complete negligence!!! I nor my sister can claim that money without starting all over because the judge awarded money based on the information she filed. So now the money will set in the bank for years till it goes unclaimed and then, maybe then, I will be able to collect and pay my dads debts upon his passing. I could start all over again with another lawyer but the awful experience I have had with this firm has held me back. Do not use this law firm unless you want the run around. Finally after sending yet another email, yet another phone call I told the firm I was contacting the Florida Bar I got a phone call. Each time I had to go head to head with this firm would lead me into tears reminding me of the loss of my father. Shame on them. They call themselves a law firm! Do not use the law firm , Alba & Yochim in Gainesville, Fl. There are too many others to choose from.

Such a great experience! I've never had to hire an attorney before and my case was pretty messy, but I'm so glad I chose Ms. Yochim. Her and her team are amazing and I'm still so thankful for them. Ms. Yochim answered any and all questions I had, answered my emails very quickly, especially since I'm sure she's so busy. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and she would be my go-to if I or anyone I know ever needs her. Thanks again!! :)

I hired Ms. Yochim to represent me in my divorce. Most of the issues in my settlement had already been worked out with my ex, but I didn't want to file without help. Ms. Yochim thought of many details that we had not considered. Her estimate for total cost was pretty spot on and very competitive. Other lawyers I talked to were all about 'winning' something in the divorce. It was a relief to find someone that actually listened and seemed to be concerned about the outcome for my children. That said, if my situation was different I am sure she would have scrapped as hard as I needed her to. If I have another family law issue to deal with I will reach out to her again.

I began the process of my divorce in utter fear. With Karen's help, I was able to go through the process with the knowledge that I was being assisted by a professional with the experience and thoughtfulness that I needed. Throughout the whole process, Karen was there to answer all my questions and reassure me that the law was on my side.

Karen was hired for a family civil case. She failed to advocate on my behalf in mediation, by not speaking about the case nor how a settlement can be reached. Billing was confusing and my attempts to contact Karen in the matter I felt I was treated with disrespect, the billing did not reflect what was happening through the course of litigation and I did not always receive a statement. Karen did little to help the case and I had her removed from the case.
