Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA) is an Absolutely Awesome Asset and Beneficial to the Jacksonville City Area, located in Jacksonville, FL! Unfortunately, JALA is Often Unsung and Sometimes Going Unnoticed as a Hidden Treasure of the Jacksonville Community, Doing A LOT With A Little. In my Opinion, JALA is a Truly GREAT Find, Gem and Gift from GOD (James 1:17) to the Jacksonville Community to Legally Assist and Help Others. I Speak from Experience and I'm A Satisfied Past Client that Serves As A Testament to their Ability to Get Positive Results! They have ALWAYS been able to assist me, obtain their goals, and get favorable resolutions when I needed assistance in a couple of Fair Housing/Wrongful Eviction Issues that I have encountered in my past. I Believe One of the Main Reasons they are SO Effective in Helping Others and Advocating for the Rights of People in Certain Economic Classes and Situations is because It's Not Just Only A Job to Them, But A Calling and Who They Are! They Are True Change Agents Working for the Greater Good of the Jacksonville Community! They have Compassion, Empathy, and A Sincere Desire and Willingness to Make A Positive Difference in their Local Community first and foremost! Therefore, this is a Clarion Call and A Call-to-Action for MORE Funding and Me Sounding the Amiable Alarm to Bring MORE Awareness to this Legal Profession to INCREASE the Money from Investors, Donors, and Additional Charitable, Monetary Gifts to Help this Organization Maintain the Staff, Integrity, Character, Professional Expertise, and Resources, which Afford them the Ability to Speak, Defend, and Help even the "Least of Them" (Matt. 25:40-45; Prov.19:17), Whenever and Wherever Injustice and Disparate Treatment in Duval County rears its egregious and evil head! I called this place to schedule an appointment but they never got back to me. I guess I am seeking legal help elsewhere.

I did an intake over there phone over a week ago. Mrs Miller called me stating that she was going to Email me so.e forms and that I would hear back from her by last Friday to help with an injunction court date u have on the 28th. I have been calling since Tuesday since I didn't hear anything from her and today I was told that there were no records of our conversation and the only thing I they was able to see was where they mailed out a letter yesterday! Well upon opening the letter today, it's a letter stating that they couldn't represent me! I am highly upset because if Mrs Miller would've informed me last Friday when she told me that she was going to call, I would've had ample time to find other legal representation!!! Now I have to try a see if the judge will grant me a continuance monday when i go to court so I can try and get last minute help!!!! I called in all week and wasn't informed about the denial or anything! But they waited until a whole week after speaking to someone that promised me that they would call me LAST FRIDAY!!!! If you guys knew you weren't going to be able to help me, you could have said that last Friday better yet the 1st time I called back earlier this week!!! And this rating has nothing to do with being denied and everything to do with lack of consideration of ones time!

Very satisfying and very professional and always kept me updated about my case and went the extra mile by coming in person to talk to my property manager. Mary is the best and her lovely assistant Darnishia. Thank you guys for everything.

Waste of time they get government funding but do not help the community it is all a scam to keep them im business but not help actually win any case it is definitely a fraud that pays them and not help you beware stay away 🚫
