Stacey was referred to me by a friend. Not only did she help my friend get her kids back, but she helped me keep mine when my ex tried to change custody. She offered so much good wisdom and advice, was very encouraging and made me feel like she truly cared. I cannot express enough in words how much I appreciate Stacey! She has gone above and beyond what I expected and was worth every penny!

She was very diligent, professional and caring as if she was fighting to get more time with her own child. She was there every step of the way bringing hope to my family. I have dealt with other attorneys in the past, but never as human as she demonstrated to be. During one of the hardest times in my life Mrs. Devall was there for my children and myself. When you're about to be a single mother with basically nothing, finding someone to remind you you're not alone is so refreshing. She was professional but not in the sense that it made me feel uneasy or inadequate, she felt like a friend. She explained things easily and listened when I asked the same questions repeatedly. Reliable and relatable mattered to me and I found that in this attorney. We are still friends today!

In family law being more than an attorney is key. In many cases wether it be divorce or custody, there’s an innocent child stuck in the middle. I found myself in the same place and needed an attorney to not just “do the job”. I needed someone who understood the choices and decisions made could impact my child for the rest of their life. She took much of her own family time to talk me through scenarios and possibilities. When it came time for final choices she remembered who was at the center of the case and advocated for my child. In turn... she changed their life. She’s one of the best.

An absolute horrible experience with Ms. Duval - She was recommended to handle an appeal for me and on our one and only call she talked a good game. I sent her $6000.00 and what I got was a three page appeal sent in. The opposing attorney responded and I pointed out many false statements and incorrect information on his response. Ms. Duval told me, via email, that any response on our end would be overkill and unnecessary. Needless to say we lost the appeal as I knew we would. Her response was to say "I don't know what happened!" again via email. Other than one phone call her communication, which was rare, was via text or email. She didn't even pick up the phone to tell me that my appeal was denied. In my opinion she is lazy and very unprofessional. I would never recommend her. To date, he has not called to explain the denial.

Stacey has been a godsend to our family . She has come through on every part of my difficult case. I went through several lawyers and spent alot of money and really lost hope til I contacted Stacey she is the best hands down thank you so much

Ms. Devall was retained for a child custody case. Within the first month of retaining she informed me that the opposing party actually informed her of a procedural error in which she made; that should have been red flag #1. From the beginning it seemed like she meant well, but was clearly over-extended and did not have the time to commit to my case. I regularly had to ask about the status of my case, and would often go days or weeks without a response. Phone calls, emails, and texts would go unreturned. I would have no communication with her until maybe a day or so before a hearing, in which it would seem as if she was playing catch up. Needless to say we would appear before the judge unprepared. There was even an instance where the judge scolded her for not correctly filing paperwork, additionally, evidence and paperwork failed to be filed on my half behalf, leading to embarrassing moments in front of the judge and opposing counsel. Because of this, may case has dragged on and damaged my case, causing me money, time and my legal rights. I attempted on multiple occasions to reach her to address my concerns, asking if I should pay more money to get more attention to my case (on more than one occasion), and even directly asking if I should seek other counsel. None of my attempts were reciprocated or returned. Finally, I decided to take it upon myself to seek new representation. I have had multiple consultations with attorneys (of which I neglected to bad mouth Ms. DeVall in any way), and the overwhelming consensus among all of them is that my case has been mishandled and most of my money retaining a new attorney would be spent cleaning up a mess and doing damage control. If a lawyer does not have the bandwidth to handle a case, it should be stated in the beginning, or it should be flat out refused.

I would like to say that if you are thinking about retaining Stacey as your lawyer. PLEASE PLEASE don’t over think it and do it. This has been one of the most overwhelming times in my life. There was times I was in tears!! When I tell you Stacey is so down to earth and will communicate with you even if she has to do it via text. She won’t leave you hanging and worried! She knows her stuff and she gets the job done in a timely manner! I will always always use for my attorney with any legal matters I ever am faced with going forward.
