I consulted a G’ville lawyer and walked away with tears in my eyes and feeling even more “low.” I can’t take brutal honesty and this lawyer asked me upfront money if I need “more consultation time.” Kept on telling me that I don’t need to file BKPT and just buy a cheap phone to avoid creditors calls. I sent email to Alison requesting for free consultation and that I would like to meet her in person, ended up as phone consultation. Alison’s gentle honesty helped me understand my options. I had consulted with another bankruptcy attorney when my credit union was refusing to let me short sale my house but did not have a good feeling walking away.
