Kellen helped us during an incredibly challenging time. My elderly cousin failed to have her legal affairs in order. She was aware that one of her trustees had died and the other was dealing with dementia. Her trustee with dementia was also her power of attorney. She had been totally capable of meeting with her attorney and changing her power of attorney and trustee, told us she was doing it, and never took action. My cousin asked for help changing her power of attorney and trustee after an unexpected hospitalization. Unfortunately, her attorney was unavailable. Another attorney in the office was unwilling to make changes after talking with my cousin on the phone, in preparation for an in person meeting. My cousin didn't want to deal with the law firm with her own attorney being unavailable during this time. I was now searching for an elder care attorney. Kellen was several hours away from us, but came highly recommended. Every contact with the office was handled with sensitivity and professionalism. While I waited for our consultation appointment with Kellen, I was able to speak with the person who helps clients pursue Medicaid nursing home funding. My cousin had some assets, but with the cost of a nursing home, it wasn't going to last long. I received my "homework list" and got to work gathering the required documentation. Every effort I made to advocate for my cousin was met with a brick wall, as I wasn't her power of attorney. Her roof needed to be replaced as buyers couldn't obtain financing on a home with a 24 year old roof. I couldn't even get her home on a waiting list because the roofer couldn't obtain permits without a power of attorney. My cousin's power of attorney was insisting the house be sold "as is", as he was unable to understand the situation with financing. He was creating issues with the estate sale my cousin had indicated she wanted. He wanted the house sold with everything in it. No one would want to buy a home with all of the possessions of the previous owner. My brother-in-law and I were so relieved when we were able to talk with Kellen. We discussed my cousin having more and more confusion each day. There were times she was lucid and times she wasn't. We discussed options including changing my cousin's power of attorney and trustee if she was lucid when Kellen would meet with her, the process for applying for Medicaid nursing home funding, and guardianship if necessary to ensure that my cousin's needs were met. Kellen gave specific instructions for me to follow up on. He patiently answered our questions and clarified when I needed to hear information again. After two months of trying to advocate for my cousin, talking to Kellen was the first time I felt someone could guide us through the process to protect my cousin. Kellen listened to our concerns and communicated clearly what needed to happen. He also advised what the approximate cost would be. My cousin was hospitalized the evening that we consulted with Kellen, and passed within days. Our family received a very kind sympathy card from Kellen and others in the office. The stress during my cousin's decline was unbelievable. I was trying to advocate for my cousin while working full time and living 2.5 hours away. We don't have any other family in the state. I wish that we'd had Kellen and his law firm from the very beginning, as our experience would have been so different. I was very sad during this time that when I travelled each week to be with my cousin, my time was going to trying to deal with the mess of her legal affairs not being in order. I was able to spend time with my cousin, but not as much as I would have liked due to her legal mess. The day we met with Kellen was the first time I felt I could take a deep breath in two months. If you are dealing with advocating for an elderly loved one, Kellen would be a great attorney for you.

From the initial consultation regarding my elderly father's care to the completion of his estate proceedings, I appreciated the thorough knowledge Mr. Bryant had of the subject matter, and the professionalism, patience and consideration of Jennifer, Stacy and Carla in helping me navigate a difficult period. There is so much that a person should know regarding the cost of care and legal procedures associated with a loved one in failing health that most of us are simply unaware of. I highly recommend Mr. Bryant and his staff, if you're facing this situation. And I mean that truly!

I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Bryant and his firm. I had recently taken over handling my parents' finances and many of their other day to day responsibilities. My parents are not really elderly by age, but one is physically disabled and the other is losing her mental capacity. The medical and legal issues that we began facing seemed daunting. We really needed the advice of a competent lawyer in this field to help us navigate these very complex issues. Mr. Bryant met with me and my parents and put us at ease from the start. His warm and caring demeanor was clearly apparent from the outset. He was able to alleviate all of the current concerns we had, and he set us up for success going forward with all that we will be facing that we never even thought of. Mr. Bryant did this all while showing the utmost respect, understanding, and patience for my parents that allowed them to maintain their dignity under circumstances that are very personal and difficult for anyone. Mr. Bryant truly went out of his way to make sure we were completely satisfied with his services and there was nothing left open. It truly meant the world to me and my parents and definitely spoke to Mr. Bryant's character and professionalism. Thanks again Kellen! To anyone out there needing help with your family/elderly estate planning and looking for the right lawyer, I can say with absolute confidence that Kellen Bryant and his firm are the right choice.

kellen was recommended to me by an attorney in Savannah. We are retired and have a disabled daughter we wanted to protect financially. Kellen took the time to talk to us and learn all about our family and the future needs of our daughter. Very personable and knew his stuff. With his help we restructured our wills, estate and set up a Supplemental Needs Trust for our daughter. The whole process was easy and reassuring with Kellen. Without hesitation I would go back to him if the need arises!

Kellen did a great job helping my wife and I design our will and estate planning documents. He asked the right questions and built our will to include a trust provision for our daughter if anything were to happen to us. He is always friendly and made us feel relaxed throughout this difficult topic.
