Don't go to him for consultation. He doesn't care about your legal issues; all he cares what is in it for him. It supposed to be consultation for my legal question, instead I listened his issues how to get or not client for his business.

This in't a review, it's a public service announcement. Before my case was completed, I told my wife that if the process actually went through as it's seemed like it might... it would the best experience I've ever had with any organization or attorney. SOO rare to have an organization represent the process and their work as something and then discover it unfolded exactly as they described. Despite my anxiety and general concern over the process, the team was always calming and kind and took as much time as I needed to feel comfortable and accept the process without unnecessary skepticism. I couldn't be more grateful and happy with Chris Olson, his terrific partner Mitch and his outstanding team each of whom handled a different aspect of the process masterfully. Jazmyn, Krystal and Tina who's the real deal were top professionals and a pleasure to deal. If only this firm specialized in other services that I, and society, could use. They were that good. Thank you Chris Olson and your stellar team. I will be encouraging anyone I know in a difficult financial situation to talk this your Firm and discover the fabulous experience I did. They will thank me for years.

We were very fortunate to have found Gina! Not only is she personable and easy to talk to, she has integrity, knowledge of the law, and was a great advocate in our case. She went over every detail of the Florida Medicaid Programs, and all of our options. She was amazingly patient with ALL of our questions and even answered us on the weekends. I wouldn't dream of using any other Elder attorney in the Palm Beach area.

My husband and I used Grandinette Law years ago for simple wills and health care documents. Recently we returned to Grandinette Law to speak with Gina aboout Elder Law Planning and hired her to help us with Medicaid for my husband. Over the years have been throughly impressed by her professionalism and knowledge of what we needed. After meeting with other attorneys initally, we decided Attorney Gina was the best fit. Prices are outlined immediately at the initial consultation, and everything was very transparent. Attorney Grandinette sent us updates weekly of the Medicaid file pending until our approval last month. We love how direct she was and upfront her fees would be. I highly suggest her for Medicaid and estate planning.

My attorney Edward Reagan was on top of my case and always kept me informed on every development from day one. Not only was I more than well represented in the courtroom but he took an active roll in staying in touch with me and making sure I followed all of the directions and instructions imposed on me by the judge in my case. He made a difference in my life and I'm eternally grateful. I would recommend his services to anyone in need of them.

I have retained Attorney Gene Lipscher on two different cases. He is a great business attorney. The first time I met Mr. Lipscher he drew up a noncompete contract for my business employees. Twice I have used his services for this Non-compete contract and both times the case went in my favor if you are in need of a good business attorney for all situations this is the guy. If he cannot get back to you immediately his assistant Kristi Hartman will be in touch with you with any information regarding your case. She is efficient and a pleasure to Converse with. 5 stars!

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Jupiter, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
