Choosing Alan Fowler’s office to represent me was the worst mistake I could have possibly made. I based my decision to go with Fowler on the lengthy 5 star reviews and positive feedback. I personally dealt with a guy named Scott who is a slick talking, non professional, unlicensed desk clerk that works for Alan Fowler’s office. He made promises that weren’t kept, was completely focused on the money and never on the case. And he would not even answer my calls while I was incarcerated. I would NEVER hire them again, and am currently in the process of getting back some of the money I spent with them before I had to fire them and hire another local firm just to be properly represented. I Sat in jail for a total of 55 days on 2 misdemeanor charges. 45 of which were under the representation of Alan Fowler. My arraignment was rescheduled 3 times, maxing out at the 33 day limit to be arraigned before the court has to drop charges and release. After firing his firm, and hiring another firm in town, I was released in just over a week. What took Fowler a month and a half to drag his feet on took a less known and much better at tourney 9 days to accomplish. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BECAUSE THIS IS NOT THE SAME ALAN FOWLER THAT EARNED THE POSITIVE COMMENTS AND GREAT REVIEWS LISTED HERE. BEWARE!

Came to Key West for a 10 day vacation. I was arrested my very first night. (Too much Booze). I googled law firms and KWCD came up first. I called, spoke to Scott, and never had another worry. Joe took over from there and case dismissed. I had various communications from the staff and never once felt less than at ease. Great Firm, Great people. Really know how to handle the court systems. Hopefully, I never have to use them again :)

I had the pleasure of working with Alan And his team during the period of the pandemic . To start of I was able to get many questions answered before speaking to Alan by his staff. This helped me gather what I needed for my case and put my mind in a better place before speaking to Alan for the first time. I knew what I was going to pay right away which was more than others , but as you know you get what you pay for .... they offered avenues of ways to pay along with scheduled payment plans. His team was always professional , on time with answering questions , scheduling appt , and sending me information regarding my case as they got it . Alan was able to get my case dismissed prior to my court date through emailing and speaking to the prosecutor directly over the course of few months during COVID-19 as courts were closed . While working with Alan I missed a phone meeting which I felt bad awful for ....but he found time before going on vacation to reschedule our chat . As a busy lawyer I didn’t expect him to respond to every email ( which he did to most ) as he had plenty of cases but he compiled everything and we always were able to chat as he planned the best strategy periodically . I think the number 1 thing to remember is to be patient and respectful of the court process which is more time consuming than you can imagine. A lawyer is not a magician and can remove every charge . You have to look for a team that’s just going to fight for you, answer your questions , and get your case to the least charge they can get it to( hope for dismissal ). Alan and Joe and everyone I talked to at the firm were professional, always informative which was nice because I have never gone through anything like this before. It really made the process of it a lot less stressful than I originally thought it would be. I will highly recommend them to anyone I know in the key west area. The service they provided was worth every penny and then some.

I don't know where to begin but say how grateful I am to Mr. Fowler and his team. Without their expertise and care involving my case I would not be where I am now. Mr. Fowler and his team were always on top of my case and I was helped by Mr. Harrington as well. Everything I could of hoped for was done in my case. I was fought for, I was cared about and I was always with the knowledge of my case with great communication. I would refer them to anyone. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would get married and be required to prove its legitimacy before an immigration officer. I just assumed love alone would be all the proof anyone needed. Yet there we were, madly in love, and in desperate need of a lawyer. Conchs will tell you (or won't) that you have to earn your local stripes. We tend to go with the names we know, and stick to the business counters our family members have gone to for generations. The Bubba System, essentially. Yet there is so much risk in having that mentality when it all comes down to choosing a lawyer who you'd trust to fight for you. Evan Sidman is a new face in town and new to practice. No problem. It signaled to us that he'd have far more to prove compared to other lawyers that already made a name for themselves on the island, but were either too compacent or too overwhelmed with clients to truly give our case the attention it needed. Throughout the entire process, Evan was always willing to address any concerns we had; whether it had been to translate legalese into layman's terms or to discuss an article I read that kept me up at night, he was consistently patient and kind. And he cared just as much about our kids as he did about our case. Sometimes we had no choice but to have them in tow and he was all the more gracious, keeping them entertained while we filled out paperwork. We even brought our son to our interview and he was an exceptional terror for everyone in the building. I highly recommend that you get yourself a lawyer that can see the joy of a toddler's presence even when it's the most nerve-racking day of your life. From the very beginning, Evan assured me that my husband wasn't going anywhere. 20 months later with a green card in the mail, I'm pleased to say that he was right. Throughout this entire process, I have often felt tested not only by USCIS but by God. We have been through so much and in such a short time that I've wondered if it's even worth it. But then I look over to my right, and see the boy from Haiti who fell in love with this Key West girl, and who never lost sight of our future together. He snores and thinks American pro wrestling is real. He spends more time in the bathroom than I do. He is soooo freakishly frugal that he will not even allow me to throw anything away without Googling an alternative use. But he's right here, not there. And we have Evan Sidman to thank for that. This review was long overdue. He is by far the most adept and most compassionate immigration lawyer you can entrust your case to. He really does make it look easy!
