Lisa is one of the worst lawyers I have EVER seen! She does not have experience in serious crime cases but acts like she knows! There was absolutely no defense created, no witnesses, no specialists (even though it was paid for). She will gladly take your money but will not put in the work that a serious case requires. If you want to hire a lawyer that will fight tooth and nail STAY AWAY FROM LISA FIGUEROA! She is not a fighter she is a joke in the court room. Ask other lawyers about her, I garauntee they will not know who she is. I would hate to see other families go through the heartache that my family and I had to go through because of the lack of experience and knowledge Lisa has.

I called Lisa's office and explained the case. They said she would call me back. She didn't call me but instead I received a call from my son 2 hours later, telling me Lisa had visited him in jail. Wow, she didn't loose time. We hired her instantly since she really demonstrated she was into the case and not the money, Normally a lawyer would ask you to come to the office and request money before they even visit an inmate. She is no joke. She traveled where ever they transferred my son. She even meets me closer to where I live. She explains every little detail and she has been on the phone with me past midnight. Lisa gave me the strength when I thought everything was over. Lisa has become an ANGEL for us. She will tell you everything the way it will be. She doesn't hide anything from you. Lisa thanks for always being there

Lisa was great! She informed me of all possible outcomes. The good, bad and ugly, fought for me til the very end and was persistent to getting the results I wanted . Believed me when no one else did and was able to put a spotlight on things people ignored that proved my side of the story . Thank you so much Lisa for all your hard work and keeping me home with my family for keeping me around for my son.

Lisa was definitely able to help my case. The prosecution wanted to press full charges against me but was she was able to get me the minimum sentence and also provided me with multiple options on how to help me with my case and how each outcome would play out

Morgan has hands down been the best family attorney I have had the pleasure of working with. Divorce can be ugly, messy & just down right unpleasant to deal with. I have been fortunate enough In this difficult time to find such a diligent, amazing attorney within this practice. Morgan has always put my children first & went above in beyond in making sure things continue to flow smoothly within the process. She always communicates in a timely professional manner, I’m never left with unanswered questions. Morgan is very knowledgeable In her areas of practice & fights for what is right. Iam writing this review, knowing someone out there is looking for an attorney such as Morgan. I’m here to let you know, this is the right choice. If you’re looking for the best, look no further you’ve found it right here.

AWESOME CONSULTATION! Often the person giving the consultation is evasive and tries to manipulate with fear... NOT STACEY! we had a detailed consultation in which we received the good, the bad and the ugly. There was no pressure.

Stacey Bradbury listens. I have hired 4 other attorneys in the past 10 years to help with tenant and business issues. Stacey Takes the time to hear your challenge and offers a suggested plan to solve your issues. I like that she discusses options with professionalism but never talks over your head. She shows how much she cares rather than showing how much she knows. .... and she knows a lot. I have recommended her to several business colleagues in the past year.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Kissimmee, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
