Patient and responsive.

DON"T USE THEM!!!!!....Also I tried to give them no stars, but it wouldn't let me post anything so I had to give them 1 star... My family went here for Medicaid planning for my Father. They requested full payment of $12,500 and told us they would do everything. They also said they would make the process as smooth as possible. After sending my mother a laundry list of required paperwork, which at most took them 2 hours to complete my Father passed away 37 days later before all the paperwork They requested was received from the companies. If you don't know a family member get 100 days before Medicaid will start and the time returns to 0 every time the family member goes into the hospital. My father was in and out of the hospital the last month of his life. So yes his Medicaid time started all over again. We contacted them for a refund after he passed. They told Us it was a flat fee, but we NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT. THEY are now refusing to return phone calls and emails.

Elder Law did an outstanding job in getting our legal affairs in order. I would highly recommend Mr. Smollar, and his staff. They produced a flawless and timely solution to our situation. Thanks to all who helped!

Initially we went into Elder Law just to get a Power of Attorney and Health Surogate for my father, who was very ill. By the time we left, we had signed up for help to get VA Benefits and Medicaid Waiver. Jacqueline was very patient and did an excellent job. She handled the POA and Health Surogate within a couple of hours, and we greatly appreciated. After leaving, and researching Medicaid facilities, I realized that wasn't what I wanted for my father, and asked for a refund forthe Medicaid Waiver process, which hadn't been started yet. Jacqueline agreed in writing, and I've now been waiting over 2 months to see that refund. I was told it was processed but haven't seen it yet. As of today, 2 months and a couple of weeks, and contacting my credit card company to file a claim, I've now received a refund. I am very grateful that they did finally give me back that money. My father passed before they even started the paperwork for the VA benefits, and I was told by the Attorney that they refund some of the monies. To my surprised, I received a check today to compensate me for that. I absolutely loved working with these folks. They are very kind and supportive. I would give them a rating of 5 for what they did and how quickly they did it as it relates to the initial paperwork.
