We paid $5,000.00 to Attorney Tufts to alieviate an IRS debt of $25,000 as a result of a fraudulent accountant. We were billed once in Aug. for $765.00 to review and evaluate tax return, then again in Nov. for $967.50 for reviewing file notes and returns. The later included "preparing letter to clients summarizing findings and issues. It is now Feb. 2020, and nothing has been accomplished to resolve our situation. We have incurred penalties, and are out $5,000.00 for Attorney Tufts. We would have been further ahead paying that money to the IRS. Do not hire Attorney Tufts to resolve your tax situation. Not only is it money for nothing, you will incurred more fees if he makes a decision to proceed. We might as well have thrown that money out the window.
