My lawyer referred me to this firm for a Worker's comp case. They called me the same day and requested information over the phone that I was not ready to share as I had no idea who they were. He called and was very unprofessional, stating that he didn't even know my name. He made me very uncomfortable and came off as untrustworthy. After I gave him as much information as I could, I felt as if he didn't believe me. He told me to find the Worker's compensation poster located in my place of work, which I stated, there wasn't one. He simply told me to "check again, usually it's in the break room." I stated again that I was positive there wasn't one, as I am sure that I work there and there is not a break room. I even gave him the address and told him he could check if he would like. He also informed me that I could easily lose the case. If there was such room for disbelief, why even take my case? How desperate. It took him two days to send me the agreement, because he spelled my e-mail address wrong after I gave it to him several times over the phone. He told me it "didn't exist." I quickly denied the agreement, as my name was still spelled incorrectly on legal forms. I'm glad he gave me so many red flags from the start; I have a better lawyer now who isn't discouraging or degrading in the first week.
