I met with Attorney Veliz, for my relocation case with my son because my previous Attorney dropped the ball, and I was at a loss of what to do. First, not only did Attorney Veliz offer a consultation to review my case and to discuss how to best assist me. He was clear, honest and very insightful about the law. While Attorney Veliz made no promises about how the case would result, he felt that we had a good case, and explained his approach. Fast forward to our day in court, Attorney Veliz is a BEAST in the courtroom, that is where he shines. He takes no punches when he sees that the opposing sides argument is not valid, or has NO PROBLEM objecting when he needs to. Not to mention, Attorney Veliz does not waste your time or your money. When he tells you he will do something, HE DOES!!! The court room is where he shines and does his best work. I can honestly say, my case was not an easy one, because he had to "clean up" the residual from my previous Attorney that had that dropped the ball. WE WON THE CASE!!! Attorney Veliz approached my case with facts and had no problem interpreting the law to get me the results I needed and wanted. I hired the firm to assist me with a probate matter. The attorneys and their staff were all very professional and knowledgeable. They kept me updated on my case and were always available to answer any questions I had.

David is okay to deal with as long as he can rip you off. However if you question his poor work or try to discuss how he’s spending your money with very little results he will quickly become nasty and unprofessional. I would not recommend this attorney for any contested matters.

What I liked about the way he treated me is that, since the first time he was calm. I mean, I never saw him in a hurry to attend to me because he has someone else to attend later. He took his time with me and that's good. I'm thankful.

Seemed like nice guy on initial consultation but my experience went downhill after I gave him my money. Maybe he used to be good 10 years ago or even a few years ago, but he's old now and doesn't appear capable to compete with the younger aggressive attorneys, and most of them in divorce court are aggressive young ones in their 30's and 40's, and Mr. Veliz is 60 now or very close to it. Maybe he's planning on retirement soon and doesn't want to give 100% effort anymore.

His fees are reasonable, but if I had to do it over I would have paid just a little more money and got a strong attorney. You only get one shot in a divorce/custody legal case, and I tried to save a few measley bucks on legal representation and blew it.

David Velez and his staff were attentive to my needs as a client and worked as quickly as possible to assist me with my legal needs. During the time of Covid when attending court in person was virtually impossible...they still processed my request as quickly as the court would allow. They kept me informed and update me through the entire process. I highly recommend David Velez and his staff.
