I hired the firm to assist me with a probate matter. The attorneys and their staff were all very professional and knowledgeable. They kept me updated on my case and were always available to answer any questions I had.

David is okay to deal with as long as he can rip you off. However if you question his poor work or try to discuss how he’s spending your money with very little results he will quickly become nasty and unprofessional. I would not recommend this attorney for any contested matters.

What I liked about the way he treated me is that, since the first time he was calm. I mean, I never saw him in a hurry to attend to me because he has someone else to attend later. He took his time with me and that's good. I'm thankful.

Seemed like nice guy on initial consultation but my experience went downhill after I gave him my money. Maybe he used to be good 10 years ago or even a few years ago, but he's old now and doesn't appear capable to compete with the younger aggressive attorneys, and most of them in divorce court are aggressive young ones in their 30's and 40's, and Mr. Veliz is 60 now or very close to it. Maybe he's planning on retirement soon and doesn't want to give 100% effort anymore.

His fees are reasonable, but if I had to do it over I would have paid just a little more money and got a strong attorney. You only get one shot in a divorce/custody legal case, and I tried to save a few measley bucks on legal representation and blew it.

David Velez and his staff were attentive to my needs as a client and worked as quickly as possible to assist me with my legal needs. During the time of Covid when attending court in person was virtually impossible...they still processed my request as quickly as the court would allow. They kept me informed and update me through the entire process. I highly recommend David Velez and his staff.

From the start of my case he was up front with me and there every step of the way I value him in general because he knew what he was doing and presented me with the upmost respect. I honestly don't know where I'd be at if it wasn't for David Velez and his team helping me and my family every step of the way. He may have been good many years ago, but I'm giving you my opinion of him in the present day right here and now. Not a strong attorney. I needed a fighter, and he turned out to be anything but. Do your homework before you hire an attorney.

felt pressured to settle the case rather than go to trial. he seemed scared to go to trial and when called him out about exactly how many cases he actually took to trial, he wouldn't give me a number and just said the majority of his cases are settled. already spent lots of money on him so couldn't afford to start over again with another attorney and therefore was stuck with him and a bad result.

A very weak attorney and comes across as being angry all the time, rarely makes eye contact with you while having a conversation, in fact looks away. Terrible at depositions and court hearings, when asking a question of the witness he does not wait for the complete response he instead talks over the response and then starts a verbal banter with the witness causing confusion to what the question and answer was. Also witness will answer with a nod or shake of the head which the court reporter cannot record as an answer he then doesn't tell the witness to verbally respond. When the transcript is read it is very difficult to follow the testimony and would be problematic to use for the purpose of impeachment. He gives the impression to be preoccupied with other things while doing the instant case. Charges a lot of time for research on basic legal issues and invoices are excessive for the work he does. Poor performance and preparedness with case resulting in negative and very expensive outcome for this former client. I hired this attorney and do not recommend.

Attorney Veliz completed the probate case of my deceased son in a timely manner. His fee was very reasonable. In fact his fee was lower than most probate attorney's in Florida. I recommend him highly.

Mr. Veliz and his staff went above and beyond to help me and my son. He is very professional and caring. I have worked around many attorneys through out my career, but when I needed help with a child support issue. The Veliz Law Firm was the first I contacted. We highly recommend them.
