While representing his client who was charged with other domestic violence battery and felony burglary Kurt knowingly made demonstrably false statements about me (who is the victim in the case). I guess he’s so used to this his law firm lying with no consequences that he willingly put his legal license on the line for an abusive client who can’t even pay him.

Upon being charged with fraud, elder abuse and identity theft, I personally interviewed 5 lawyers to represent me. I was facing 10 years in prison. I choose Mr. Russell because of his intelligence, demeanor and his experience. During my meeting with Mr. Russell, he patiently listened to me and we reviewed my case. I was very impressed with his insights into my case. IMO, Mr. Russell’s initial assessment of the possible outcomes were reasonable expectations. He did not make any false promises. Because of Mr. Russell and his office’s diligent time and efforts, the charges against me were dismissed. I will be forever grateful to Mr. Russell that I am able to move forward with my life.

I hired Mr. Russell as my attorney for some legal problems I was having. He was very caring, hard working, and kept me up to date on things frequently. He’s very professional and will do his best and what ever it takes to help you with your matters. Again, I am really glad I went with Kurt Russell. He’s the attorney you want there by your side in the courtroom!!!!

Kurt Russell and his team helped me to receive a NOT GUILTY verdict on a second offense DUI charge that in my experience and research is difficult to obtain for most. My first DUI was a result and being young and irresponsible and when I received the second charge it was almost 7 years later under unfortunate circumstances. All though I was not impaired to drive, I did however have a container of alcohol in my vehicle as a gift for a friend I was traveling to visit which did not help my case when the officer was very accusatory and aggressive from the start. For anyone who has had a prior you know that you now drive with a stigma against your record for the rest of your life operating a vehicle sadly enough but this a consequence we face with encountered with law enforcement. I want to make clear this few important details of history for myself and a detail of the night I was arrested because in all reality the odds where highly against me which became discouraging to say the least. I found comfort with the choice I made of hiring Mr.Russell not only because he did not try to rush through trial nor wanted me to take a plea of any sort just because it was easy for him but took the time to really look into all of the details of the arresting report and everything else involved to state an amazing case. He also stayed in constant contact with me and his assistant/paralegal who kept me informed of any changes or possibilities or even thoughts that were going on on their end. That really helped my anxiety in such an uncertainty type of ordeal such as this. For the record, Mr.Russell was already paid in the entirety owed for his services before we even started trial so for those questioning motives on lawyers if they will continue to do their job to the best of their ability and care for your future even if you have already paid them, HE WILL! I say that with full confidence and I never felt any less important before or after he was fully paid which is something to really consider when putting your future in the hands of someone else. With that being said, the trial lasted a couple days leaving the jury to sit with the little information they already received over the weekend which to be honest was not in my best interest. At this point I had not been able to take the stand and explain all the little details that the state was throwing out to make their case. As I understand it is the states job to do and say whatever may be necessary to make their case, it was not just. They have in my opinion a little more pull and say and will object to anything that you say or try to bring into evidence that will help you ( in this case myself ) prove you are not in fact guilty. With such restrictions I was very apprehensive that the jury would really see the truth and that this was such an out of place incident that is being misunderstood. Mr.Russell prepared me before I took the stand, reassuring me to stay positive and to just be honest and let them see me as human being and not a criminal. Taking the stand was extremely difficult because the state has a very sneaky tactic of trying to get you to say things that could and will incriminate you but I knew this was my only fighting chance to do something on my part. In the end, Mr.Russell made an extraordinary closing argument and the jury came back in less the two hours with a Not Guilty Verdict and I almost fainted! When I say the odds where against me that is an understatement and with hard work and dedication from Mr.Russell and his team and was heard and justice was found. I could not have been happier with the representation, deliverance, professionalism and promptness of everything. I highly highly recommend him and now have a second chance of freedom in life.

We were victims of hurricane Ian. Our property insurance was with Slide Insurance. Their initial field adjuster was terrific and agreed that the roof needed replacement and the lanai screens repaired. Slide then sent 2 other field adjusters out to refute original adjuster claims and said damage was caused by poor maintenance by us. Well, enter Mike who guided us to a successful claim allowing us to replace the roof and other needed repairs. He was professional, personable and knowledgeable about how insurance companies operate. A perfect lawyer to have on your side when dealing with insurance companies. Thank you Mike! John & Annie Speaker Punta Gorda, Florida

My local Social Security Attorney had done all she could right up to the 3rd appeal. I was lost and had no direction. Then still trying to save myself, during an internet search I found Bradley! I got an appointment with him quick. I new right away he was going to win for me! He listened intently to every word I said. He or his professional staff contacted me frequently to follow up on every detail! It took several painful years - WE WON!! With all back pay but for 2 years! Bradley changed my life! His is my HERO! I will remember him always in my prays! GOD Bless Bradley! Knight in Shining Armor! A Winner!

I had severe malpractice with many insurance Dr's trying to cover it up and grossly underestimating the disability. I filed for Disability and was turned down then hired another attorney who appealed and lost again. I found Brad who read the denial and in 1 minute said " I will get this denial thrown out and we should win the case" . He said the judge used the wrong pain scale and applied something else incorrectly as well and cited the court cases! He explained the best way to win a SS disability case including getting a SS Disability Evaluation by a Dr. Then Brad writes a brief for the SS Judge using the SS Eval and the Dr reports in your favor into a concise Document. He did a lot of work on my case and SS jerked him around for years about paying him (as they are required to do). Needless to say he got my denial thrown out (based on what he said) and he won my case. It was likely one of the toughest wins since I got the same biased, totally ignorant Judge who couldn't even pronounce the disease I have (who screwed up my previous appeal) along with many corrupt insurance Drs who were under reporting injuries trying to cover up the permanent injuries they caused by their malpractice and some saying nothing was wrong at all. Brad's staff was first class and answered any question quickly or Brad called you back personally and explained exactly how things work. He is a walking encyclopedia of Supreme Court cases and how they apply to SS Disability. He is the Best, Absolutely Amazing!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Melbourne, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
