Roger Klaffka and his team have been so helpful and professional throughout all of our needs. We needed some last minutes legal stuff drawn up because my elderly father was having a not so promising surgery and they managed to get them done in time. They really cared about helping me with my concerns and needs. I will always use them and recommend them to all. My parents chose them for their estate planning and they did provide them with an extensive binder full of info and legalese that they felt covered them for the inevitable. They informed all us kids of this and where it would be located and that I would be the trustee/executor. On a later visit, I checked the binder and called Elder Law Center regarding how it all worked. They said being that it was time for a check ( approx 5 yrs) we could all come in for a free consult and update. We did and covered everything and at that time found blank pages of info regarding all accounts that had yet to be filled out by my parents. Acct names and numbers and locations...etc.. At that time I attempted to get all that info together and document in one location. The inevitable happens, both parents pass and lo and behold, it turns out that not all accounts had beneficiaries assigned to them... Bingo! Those had to go to probate! Guess what? We had to hire an attorney to get them through probate! The time and money my parents spent on this was wasted because no one bothered to spend the time to ensure they understood that! Here we are $20K later (that's just for probate, don't know what they spent on the initial part) and we are still waiting . over a year later. Yes, I'm steamed. As now that I've paid in full, I cant get anyone to return my calls regarding the final steps. Do yourself a favor. Put everything into a trust and Make sure EVERYTHING HAS A BENEFICIARY ASSIGNED TO IT! If this had been done, we would have been done over a year ago and have an additional $20 k in the estate!

I want to say up front that I hate writing this. If you look at my history, I have only previously written 5 star reviews, but this is an exception. I have been "working" with this law firm since January 2024. I spoke with Attorney Robin Petersen in Jan 2024. My mother had recently died in Dec 2023 and I sought guidance on the probate process. Attorney Petersen told me it would take "up to 6 weeks" to have me assigned as the personal representative for my mom. It is now 6 months later and I am still not the PR for my mom despite being the only heir. The communication has been really terrible, the guidance has been awful, and I am sick to my stomach that I am about to pay them 3% of my mom's estate for the service they have provided. If I knew how to switch probate attorneys at this point I would. I hope anyone has the experience that the other reviewers have had, but at this point, I cannot recommend them and I am so sad at the status of our interaction.

Throughout the process of preparing and signing my trust and other forms tge attorney and paralegal were very good and patient answering all my questions. The forms have much legalese and it was sometimes difficult to know whether what i wanted was included. The paralegal was very good at clarifying it for me. I had undergone knee replacement surgery 3 weeks before surgery. They offered to do the signing in my car if needed.

We are continually impressed with the legal help we get from this firm. Attorney Peterson is top drawer and Danielle, office manager is as sweet and helpful as she is efficient!! A+++++++++

My husband and I needed to put our house into a trust, update our wills, medical desires, and final requests. Our friends recommended Estate Planning and Elder Law Center of Brevard and we were VERY pleased with our them and highly recommend them. Our initial visit was with Attorney Roger, it lasted about an hour, and he asked us questions regarding what we wanted, quickly eliminated options that did not apply to us any longer and explained everything in a way we understood. We have a much younger sister who has scoliosis and will be living with us and wanted to make sure she would be covered under our homestead. We were VERY comfortable asking questions, he encouraged them, and he answered in a way that we understood. After this initial interview we received our initial documents from the para-legal, Danielle. She had us go over all documents, made changes we wanted, and sent them back to us. Getting these documents before signing was really appreciated as we sent copies to all our family members so they would understand what we wanted and to eliminate any family problems after were gone. On signing day, Danielle and the had everything ready including the witnesses and we finished in less than an hour and received our beautiful binder and electronic copy as well. She walked us through the process of taking our documents to the city to change our house homestead into a trust. Because all documents were there, it only took us a few minutes at the city hall. Afterwards we received a beautiful person letter from Atty Roger in which he also reminded us to make sure we took care of the city part.
