I am reposting this review, because Avvo initially approved this and then took it down, so I will try to adhere to the review guidelines. Please note that the initial review was dated from July 2014. Mr. Reid did not do a good job representing us. He told us things that were not true. For example, he stated that we, the grandparents of the child, could gain custody of the child, over the biological parents. After we paid for Mr. Reid's services and went to court the judge immediately dismissed the case. Also Mr. Reid refused to return any of our phone calls (far less for our money). Therefore, for his lack of knowledge and questionable work ethics, I cannot recommend Mr. Reid to anyone.

Shawn Reid is a superb, smart and effective attorney. he represented me during a very tough drawn out divorce and provided me the best and reasonable advice that in turn I was able to reflect upon when making the critical decision that turn out to be the best for me overall. You want an attorney who knows the ins and outs of representing you from a legal standpoint especially when it concerns your child/children. With his ongoing education he makes it appoint to be ahead of the game he works with the judges and studies the practices to make the best judgement. He's been a prosecutor so he understands each side he's witnessed a lot. Most importantly I would recommend anyone to see him for the simple fact that he makes informed decisions on your behalf. He does not in any way submit motions under which are not supported. In other words he won't send you into the court room looking like a dummy. I have already sent a client his way, matter of fact and I presume they will too be just as satisfied as I was with his services. When you get involved in a legal matter it's never anything we feel comfortable doing and that is why you need to have Shawn by your side.

Attorney Reid has guided me through the divorce process with an impossible ex husband. He has proven himself to be empathetic, professional and a man of integrity. He listened to my needs and gave me honest and realistic advice. He is not an attorney who is always watching the clock. Even though he had a calming presence with me, his client, Attorney Reid was a fighter, and stood strong getting the best possible outcome. He has a tough, no nonsense approach and was not afraid to stand up for what was right in court. His strategies proved that he understands the mentalities and processes involved and could almost predict each court appearance outcome based on his years of experience. I felt very confident going up against my ex with Attorney Reid by my side. I have highly recommended Mr. Reid to my friends and family and will continue to do so.

Best lawyer For family I have ever seen!!! as a former state prosecutor shawn is very well in tune to all current laws and is up to date with all changes that law may hand out... he is very Fair and consistent across the board!! I would highly recommend SHawn
