This is my second time that I have hired Mr. Landman as my wonderful attorney. The first time was a custody case for my daughter 6 years ago. And this time was for my daughter’s legal name change. Mr. Landman and his staff are truly amazing. They always kept me in the loop with my case 24/7 and would reply in seconds, always with a prompt response no matter what. I don’t trust many people and I would trust Mr. Landman and his staff with my life. Mr. Landman and his staff are very hard working and I feel very confident and at ease when they are working on my case. I would not work with any other attorney than Mr. Landman. He is the best attorney ever and always very trustworthy and direct. I can’t thank Mr. Landman and his staff for everything they have done for my daughter and I. I appreciate everything so much. I am a loyal client for life!

A few years ago, I found myself in a situation where my children’s mom was refusing to allow me to exercise timesharing with my children. I began looking for an attorney who could help me resolve the situation. Mr. Landman was recommended to me by three different people. One of those who recommended him was on the opposing side of a case with him, and still recommended him. When I signed on with Mr. Landman‘s firm, I realized why he was so highly recommended. He and his team represent the best of the best. There are several key characteristics that I greatly appreciated. First is responsiveness. Whenever I had a question, regardless of the day or time, Mr. Landman was very quick to respond. The second quality was attention to detail. Mr. Landman was meticulous in ensuring every detail of my case was understood and well executed. Lastly, the understanding and compassion his office showed me throughout this ordeal was extraordinary. This was one of the hardest times in my life and having Mr. Landman helping me through it was a lifesaver. I’m very thankful to Mr. Landman and his entire staff for helping me resolve the situation and for putting a horrible chapter of my life behind me. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is seeking the highest quality of representation.

Mr. Landman handled my divorce. It was dragged out by my ex wife for 2 1/2 years. Through it all, Alan was there for me to explain the process and kept it in layman’s terms for my benefit. The end result exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend Alan Landman for any family law matter.

I was searching for a tough, no-nonsense Family Law attorney. Alan was strongly recommended by two highly respected non-family attorneys. They were correct. From the onset, Allan was completely business and attentive, as were his Para-Legals and staff. My case was continuously analyzed, new information gathered, then executed along the most advantageous and tactical legal path and timeline. Fact - The ONLY way to enter the court system is with the BEST attorney with the best team with the only goal to WIN. Allan's reputation will precede your case and he will win for you.

I hired Mr. Landman to help with two traffic tickets. He explained the requisite procedure for challenging them, kept me apprised of all steps in the process, and was able to get both of them dismissed. What more could I ask?

They helped my wife and I complete a stepparent adoption. They had good communication and were very reassuring when the courts were taking a long time. They are LGBTQ+ friendly and I highly recommend them.

I feel like I cannot say enough about how truly wonderful my experience has been working with Wayne F. Jentis, ESQ, and his incredible staff on the management of my divorce. There is probably no experience more painful, frustrating than a divorce. From the very beginning, Mr. Jentis and his staff were patient, compassionate, thorough and supportive. Mr. Jentis and his staff did an excellent and competent job of managing my divorce, consulting with me in all matters, completing all documents in a timely manner.

My local Social Security Attorney had done all she could right up to the 3rd appeal. I was lost and had no direction. Then still trying to save myself, during an internet search I found Bradley! I got an appointment with him quick. I new right away he was going to win for me! He listened intently to every word I said. He or his professional staff contacted me frequently to follow up on every detail! It took several painful years - WE WON!! With all back pay but for 2 years! Bradley changed my life! His is my HERO! I will remember him always in my prays! GOD Bless Bradley! Knight in Shining Armor! A Winner!

I had severe malpractice with many insurance Dr's trying to cover it up and grossly underestimating the disability. I filed for Disability and was turned down then hired another attorney who appealed and lost again. I found Brad who read the denial and in 1 minute said " I will get this denial thrown out and we should win the case" . He said the judge used the wrong pain scale and applied something else incorrectly as well and cited the court cases! He explained the best way to win a SS disability case including getting a SS Disability Evaluation by a Dr. Then Brad writes a brief for the SS Judge using the SS Eval and the Dr reports in your favor into a concise Document. He did a lot of work on my case and SS jerked him around for years about paying him (as they are required to do). Needless to say he got my denial thrown out (based on what he said) and he won my case. It was likely one of the toughest wins since I got the same biased, totally ignorant Judge who couldn't even pronounce the disease I have (who screwed up my previous appeal) along with many corrupt insurance Drs who were under reporting injuries trying to cover up the permanent injuries they caused by their malpractice and some saying nothing was wrong at all. Brad's staff was first class and answered any question quickly or Brad called you back personally and explained exactly how things work. He is a walking encyclopedia of Supreme Court cases and how they apply to SS Disability. He is the Best, Absolutely Amazing!

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Melbourne, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
