Mrs. Watson is kind, and thoughtful, which speaks volumes of her character. After speaking to as many legal professionals as I have recently, I've learned that securing the retainer comes before being genuine or caring. Since time is money for everyone, she didn't even have to talk to me. Where most people just make promises to you without even knowing much, Michel listens. She then tells you truthfully, with compassion, what your options are. And I didn't even feel pressured! That's a first! To me, kindness is an asset, and is (unfortunately) not the most prevalent trait of people in the legal industry. And then there's the few out there like Michel, which give you that needed bit of hope you've been struggling to find.
