In 2009 Atty. Jose Bofill handled my divorce which involved child support for me and my ex-wife’s two children. The resulting dissolution of marriage went very smooth and fair according to Florida law. Fast forward to 2021, one of the children turned 18 and therefore, the child support was to be modified and adjusted to support for the remaining child. However, due to a glitch in the County clerk’s office, the child support automatic deduction was still deducting for two children despite my efforts on my own to have this corrected. Almost one year of paying inflated child support for two children instead of one, had me beyond frustrated and confused. I then reached out to Atty. Bofill for assistance getting this issue rectified. Atty. Bofill assured me that I would be credited back the over-payments and he was on the case. Mr. Bofill swiftly and efficiently adjusted the child support to the correct amount and worked diligently with my ex-wife’s counsel to correct this wrong. Bofill navigating this legal quagmire on my behalf, I would still be fighting “the system” and all its red tape.
