When one of our family members gets detained, it is the most awful feeling in the world. We are desperate and we just want to get them out. I interviewed 5 attorneys all which are very well known, one was even a former judge at Krome. Each attorney stated they could help, and they would try certain tactics of which I knew was not going to be possible. You tend to read about the law because you want to help in any way possible. Most people would think why didn’t I choose the attorney that was the former Judge. The former Judge was not going to be the one handling the case. It was going to be one of his colleagues. Kenia was my last interviewed Attorney. She didn’t sugar coat anything and told me exactly what we would be facing. It is different when you’re in Krome. Most of the times, it is that you already did your time for the crime and now your being detained due to Immigration proceeding. They
are basically trying to find out if you are worthy to stay in the United States because of the crime that was previously committed. Most Cuban detainees give up and sign deportation proceeding in order to get out quicker. It depends on where you are from. Signing deportation papers might get you sent back to
where you are from right away. Kenia explains that all cases are different, but the only thing that they have in common is that why would you sign deportation papers if you only have one chance. Only one chance to fight for your freedom, why would you possibly just give it away. We took the chance and
fought with everything we had for my loved one to stay. You have to put yourself out there and pour your heart. I must have drove Kenia and her awesome assistants crazy. If Kenia was not available, her staff was there to help me and relate messages to her. It was a lot of different paperwork to gather. Also, letters from friends, family, coworkers and Clients stating that they believe that my loved one is needed here and has been a law abiding citizen since his last arrest. Thanks to Kenia and her Staff I am proud to say that the Judge approved our case and with Kenia we applied for citizenship right away. He attend his swearing in Citizenship Oath Ceremony this weekend.
Thank you Kenia and your Great Staff!

I would highly recommend Ms. Garcia to anyone who has a family member who is detained and has been told time and time again that their case is hopeless. My brother was detained at Krome and every immigration attorney I spoke to advised us to adhere to the deportation. However, in one last ditch effort I called Ms. Garcia and she was the first person who said she would actually fight for my bother. I'm so happy I came across her firm, because she not only got my brother released but also resolved his immigration issues. Thank you Ms. Garcia!

Ms. Kenia Garcia was professional from day one, I hired her to get my brother out, who was about to get deported to Nicaragua. She was straightforward from day one and fought hard until she got him out of krome. I would definitely hire her again and would recommend to anyone who is in urgent need of top notch legal representation.
