**copied and pasted from our previous review left for the other location. Me and my wife were just thrown out of Richard Hollanders office today, under threat of calling the cops on us if we did not. My wife is pregnant, and i admit i lost my temper. But the coward wouldn't even answer our questions, he called us liars to our face. He couldn't even comment on anything until he opened the file and read it right then and there. This place is a BANKRUPTCY MILL. They don't care about their clients AT ALL. we only saw our actual lawyer twice over the several months, and at least ten appointments. It was a new paralegal every time. They did all the work, the lawyer doesnt do ANYTHING. We were strung along, lied to, put under duress, made to sign paperwork and finalize our bankruptcy filing while tons of things were incorrect. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. Now the dirtbag withdrew himself from our case and has left us high and dry.

After dealing with this group, I realize why there are so many lawyer jokes. Do not let them talk you into bankruptcy. There are other options. A bankruptcy attorney will not tell you this. Don't do it.

My brother and I drove from SC and NC respectively to assist our mother through a bankruptcy. She was frightened and upset. Having met with Mr. Hollander before and not understanding all that was said to her, we offered to meet as a group with him on a Friday morning. Upon arrival we were greeted by a young man at the front desk who was disheveled and said they were short handed. When Mr. Hollander came to greet us, my mother introduced us. Mr. Hollander rolled his eyes and said, "good for you". I was totally taken back. Thinking he just might be joking, we were taken to his office. Things proceeded to get worse. mr. Hollander continued to make demeaning, rude and sarcastic remarks to my mother, brother and myself. He actually indicated that if we continued to ask questions that we were wasting his time. At this point my brother asked how we were paying him if we were wasting his time. Mr. Hollander got very angry at the question and said that we could find another lawyer then. My mother was so very upset and tried to apologize to him. My brother and I were disgusted with this type of rude, demeaning and arrogant behavior that we happily left. I did tell my mother in front of Mr. Hollander that you should not apologize for someone else's poor behavior. We were able to connect with a fantastic law firm in the area who saw us that afternoon. They treated us respectfully, with customer service and a professionalism that makes the profession proud. My grandfather was a criminal attorney and I was a former court stenographer in NYC. I have never come across this type of behavior and was totally appalled. The client was in need of support, not to be demeaned in this awful manner. Sarcasm and rudeness when someone is seeking and paying for your assistance is totally inappropriate. In speaking with others in the community about this encounter it was mentioned that this encounter was a typical experience.

Attorney Hollander provided me representation for a Creditor's Adverse Proceeding relating to my Chapter 7 case. Initially, it was acknowledged that my chance for success was fair at best. Attorney Hollander worked tirelessly for months to root out all facts, circumstances and motivations. His research, case preparation, depositions and trial performance were nothing short of stellar. In the end, Mr. Hollander was successful on my behalf and the Adversary Claim was dismissed. In my opinion, Mr. Hollander is the most exceptional attorney I have ever encountered and who I will recommend to anyone seeking representation in the Bankruptcy area.

Mr Hollander was always professional and compassionate. Never made me feel uneasy or degraded. Kept me informed of the timeline/status of my case. His staff was always professional and courteous. Always felt my privacy was of utmost importance to all involved. Would HIGHLY reccomend his services.
