My sister had used the firm in the past so I decided to make the call. Due to the pandemic , the whole process was via phone calls, texts, emails ,ect. but the process was very smooth and fast, and just because you did not physically see the attorney, secretary, ect. they were there for all the way.

On November 11, 2020 my husband & I made the difficult decision to make an appointment with a bankruptcy attorney to discuss our situation & options. I had the pleasure of speaking with the sweet Alicia who scheduled our consultation for 2 days later. We met with Attorney Walter Benenati on Friday, November 13, 2020 in the Orlando office at 10:30am. First off, they maintain amazing social distancing standards, we were the only clients sitting in the lobby filing out preliminary paperwork. The receptionist buzzes clients in to ensure proper protocols are enforced (I assume). There are cups for clean & used pens where you sign in for your appointment (or paperwork drop off). The staff is extremely friendly & willing to answer even the silliest of questions. If a staff member passes through the lobby they extend a warm greeting (behind their mask) whether they know you or not. We filled out the paperwork & were promptly escorted to a large conference room with plenty of space for us, Attorney Benenati & one of his staff members to be properly distanced & we all wore masks. After discussing why & our apprehensions, my husband & I decided to move forward with bankruptcy. Attorney Benenati was very informative & answered all of our questions. Later that afternoon, we received a call from Francisco with our initial petition signing appointment in early December & he called a week prior to reconfirm, but due to unforeseen circumstances (on our end), we needed to postpone our petition signing to January 12, 2021 at 9am. When Francisco called the Wednesday prior & I had one issue, but after he spoke to Attorney Benenati, he called me back to say it was fine & we moved forward. The Friday before our appointment, we dropped off our filing fee & all of our required paperwork, it was just easier for us to print & drop it all off since we had to take the payment, but they offer an upload option. The morning of our petition signing, we received a call from Irene, a phenomenal paralegal & she walked us through everything. Irene was so incredibly friendly & just overall amazing, she took the time to explain why she needed documents or had to ask certain questions & took her time making sure we felt comfortable. Over the next 3 days, Irene & I spoke by phone & email coordinating documents & details. Due to me being furloughed since April & my husband being furloughed April-October, our monthly income was tricky, trying to decipher between unemployment & the CARES Act supplemental payments & the way they appeared on our bank statements. Irene & I were getting different figures, so we spoke over the phone & went line by line and our numbers matched up & we were both elated. I am very detail oriented and went over every item on our 61 page petition draft. On Thursday, she, my husband & I were able to finalize all documents & Irene filed our petition with the court. I cannot say enough positive things about Irene, she always answered my emails & when I emailed her to ask if she could call me, she called me within the hour (way less), far surpassing my own expectations. Even though I knew she was slammed, she never made me feel rushed or like she didn’t have time for me/us. There was one time I was concerned about one situation & her email explanation was perfect & she copied Attorney Benenati & offered to have him call me to confirm if I wanted to speak with him, but her response explained everything perfectly, so we were set. The Benenati team never made us feel bad for filing bankruptcy, we always felt respected & appreciated by everyone at the firm. Irene was so personable & outgoing, it feels like I’ve gained a friend. I had the pleasure of speaking with Alicia again on 1/18 & she once again, was so sweet & just delightful with her simple request. We also received a very detailed email from Chris Benenati the same day regarding our upcoming 341 meeting with the most important details highlighted for our benefit. I was referred by my biz CPA (via my biz partner) and because I was not a big ticket client after CALLING ME back POST ONLINE request for a consult I was unable to connect with an attorney for my issue. Hmmm...no big money no consult.
