Attorney Fowinkle originally took our case & mislead me to believe that the turn around would be quick & the expense would be minimal. He eventually left the firm & when Attorney Marks reviewed our case, he found tons of gaps in our case file. Correction wasn’t immediate either… both parties were receiving amended/new documents to sign/notarize just days prior to our hearing when we knew there were issues with our file for 2 months prior. Once corrected, the hearing was successful & thought we were “done” but more expenses presented themselves. Even the instructions provided for obtaining copies of a document we needed were written out in an email (we were charged for the email) & those instructions turned out to be incorrect! The service we paid for was eventually accomplished but the experience was not seamless nor efficient as one would expect from a firm charging by the 10th of an hour. I’m also not fond of how Attorney Marks responded to the mishandling of our case. I should have shopped around for a firm with more experience & one that would have charged a flat fee for what we needed as it was straight forward.
