Although not a client, I am a good friend of Tom and he has quite a ministry as a family attorney. Although these are some of the most difficult times in a person's life, I have heard multiple stories of how he has helped people, way beyond the normal attorney/client relationship. If you need his services, I would trust him with anything in my life.

I am amazed this place is in business with the way the nickel and dime for every expense! I was charged $20k and NOTHING HAPPENED. I am going to take a summary of their work to three other attorneys to get an idea of what I was overcharged. I would love a business like this one, where you can charge for just looking at your desk or touching a pencil. Unreal and super disappointing. The documents I did get were Legal Zoom worthy and frankly maybe not even that good. Anyway, use at your peril. It seems to me they use emotions in these situations to charge even more, and if you leave you have to start over again because the truth is they didn’t do half the things they were supposed to do in the first place!

I've never been treated with more dignity and respect as I have with Marks Law Firm. I highly recommend Heather, she is compassionate and put my best interest first.

I retained the marks law firm, attorney AJay fowinkle because I liked what they had to say in regards to my situation. Unfortunately, they did NOT do anything to help me. I wasted 4 1/2months of time and $2500! I hired them for termination of parental rights and after being retained, it took AJay 3 wks to even contact the other party! I feel 5-7 days is sufficient enough. Then after speaking with the other party they were supposed to be called again to confirm their response after 3 days. This turned into over another week. The other party agreed and the documents that need signatures were not presented to the other party for almost a month after they said yes!! This is unacceptable! Then, they filed Orange County paperwork in POLK county!! They did not ever fix this! I was calling and emailing weekly. At least 2x a week and at first they kept telling me there was a filing error that needed to be fixed with the clerk. (Filing in the wrong county) then towards the end of June they just stopped responding to me. They filed the documents on 5/17 and I had to hire another lawyer the second week in July because AJay never fixed their mistake. They kept telling me it was transferred and it was not! I had to call Orange County clerk myself to confirm there was no transfer in order to get AJay to dismiss the case! Which he told me on a Thursday in July it was going to be prepared and filed! It was not! It took him till the following Monday to actually dismiss the case in Polk county! Don’t say you’re going to do something and not do it! Terrible service and the office staff was rude to me also towards the end. Like I’m annoying them when I’m just trying to get them to do their JOBS!! Beware!

Mr Marks and his Firm supported me through a recent renegotiation of my child support obligation and they were fantastic. During a very trying time, Mr Marks was empathetic, provided me all of my options, and helped me remain realistic while supporting my requests and hopes. It was very reassuring to sit next to an attorney during a mediation where he was able to lay out the 3 scenarios that will probably occur and then watch one of those exact scenarios play out. He is knowledgeable and very personable. I didn’t feel like just another client that they needed to assist and move on from. I wish he was the one who handled my divorce initially but he will be the one I go to for any and all future issues. His team was equally attentive and they followed my case through down to confirming my paycheck garnishment was updated. He understood the emotional, mental, and financial toll and was extremely cognizant of my pain points. I highly recommend Mr Marks and his team.
