When another lawyer referred me to Bill Umansky to help, it was the greatest gift of help and reassurance I could have asked for. My sister was working hastily to obtain assisted living for my mom, because my mother couldn't control her anger and her mental capacities were deteriorating. As my sister was trying to do house cleaning in the kitchen, an altercation occurs and my mom attacks my sister. Instead of a mitigating outcome, where my sister had planned to stay with a relative to comply with the police, the circumstance changes, and for whatever reason, my sister gets arrested and sent to jail on a domestic battery charge, when my sister's never had a criminal record in her life. I was devastated, when I called from long distance, seeking legal representation for my sister. But the moment I told Bill what happened, he personally stepped in to help. He told me who to contact to submit bail. He showed me how to view her court appearance on live stream, so I could hear her case. He just guided me every step of the way on what to prepare for, what would happen next and how I could help her. Not only did that tell me that he was an expert at his craft, but it demonstrated his compassion and humanity, a rare find in a lawyer. Bottom line, he just cared....and it didn't cost me a dime. That was enough for me.
