My name is Valerie and I had a great experience with K. Dean Kantaras' Law firm. During my marital upheaval I worked with Dean Kantaras as well as few other attorneys from his firm. In addition to providing superb services they are very up front about their fees, costs and expectations about how my situation would unfold. They also have a friendly and helpful staff - they treated me with compassion and empathy, more like a family member rather than just another customer. In today’s “high tech” and “fast paced” society, it was nice to find an office that takes the time to get to know me as a person in addition to providing excellent services. K.Dean Kantaras' Law Firm is a step above and beyond most offices. I have found my experience with this office to be extremely satisfying and I would recommend them highly to anyone and who needs a competent, honest and understanding attorney.

bad bad bad, paid him for my divorce & he kept the filing fees and never even advised me there was a court date to attend. Judge threw the case out since I didn't show, (had no knowledge!)I have 3 kids & this process was over a yr long so meanwhile my kids never got a single dime in child support. He apologized with a lame "chng in office personnell excuse" & said he would take care of it if I pay only the court filing & processing fees... $500 ..again. I'm already into this guy, if i start over it costs more...So like a fool I give him another chance & the exact same process takes place. No notice of court date. He's a real piece of work, never did a thing yet made $1000 off a single mother of 3 who was making $10/hr to survive. Wow.

I will start by saying that if you are looking to hire a family law firm, well, keep looking, I think this is probably the WORST people to deal with regarding your family case. When working with Mr. Kantaras, you think that things can’t get worse regarding the lack of interest in your case, well it does. Every aspect of the management of your case, gets worse by the day. The only feeling I had since day one was that I was stock with them and that I made a terrible decision when I trusted Mr. Kantaras to handle my case. My experience with this firm is so bad it affected even my health. So, according to my experience with Mr. Kantaras, my conclusions are: If you want your case to be handle in a timely matter – This is not the law firm for you. If you want to pay 3 or 4 times what you would pay to another lawyer – This is the firm for you. If you want your case to be handle by a firm with the biggest internal RED TAPE – This is the firm for you. If you want to feel that the lawyer is working for you – this is not the law firm for you. If you want a lawyer to handle your case according to your needs – this is not the law firm for you. If you want to be charged fees even when you call to get an update on your case (because they take so long to do anything) – this is the law firm for you. I have to say that the only department in Mr. Kantara’s law firm that works is the BILLING DEPARTMENT, once you hire them and you pay your Retainer Fee, you will start getting weekly statements where you will see how that money vanishes, and in a matter of days your Retainer Fee will be gone, and you will start owing THOUSANDS in a matter of days. I was wondering how this firm has a 3.5 out of 5 rating on Google, well, look closely, they only good reviews are for another lawyer, not Mr. Kantaras.

I hired one of the attorney's at Kantaras Law for a divorce case. She was okay as far as attorney's go. The receptionist there was probably the best person/experience there. Very helpful and friendly. However that is where the better experience ended. This law firm is the biggest rip off considering how law firms go. A fairly simple divorce case took a year. Did not serve my ex spouse or file until later to my surprise. I provided all of the documentation I had and could, but my ex got away with not providing all their documentation. All this time and money spent in documenting things on my end, and it all came down to giving my ex part of my 401k money, and half the house anyway. Mediation was a joke and fiasco! Why waste my time and money all this time just to come down to that? Of course they found some crazy way to rack up charges to the big retainer I had to put down, then on top of that pay them another $1,000 for nothing! Their accounting stinks for lack of a better term. Could not really show or justify a missing credit balance that I had. At the end of it all and all the money I gave to my ex and them, I still had to go to the court house twice and pay for the certified divorce decree and another form. Really? They couldn't even do that for me after all the money I gave them. Stay clear of this law firm or you'll get taken more than once. (I'm better off without them or my ex).
