I hired Bob to work on my case seeking legal action to be taken against several contempt instances, timesharing increase, child support reduction. The case lasted about a year and a half, during that time I provided evidence supporting contempt against a standing order as well as parental alienation which my ex even admitted to on the Talking Parents App. During the build, I was assured items such as attorney fees and legal actions against the contempt evidence would be a walk in the park. The day before the trial hearing, Bob informed me that neither of which were going to be obtainable, and the only items on the docket were timesharing and child support. I asked for one item to be put in place and that is a direct line of communication to my child, the topic was discussed and granted, however Bob allowed for the opposing attorney to write up the order where she deliberately not only left that part out but noted the complete opposite. When I approached Bob about this, he said that it was granted showing that he never even opened the filed order. Bob also allowed for the opposing attorney to factor in VA disability as income, while the legality of that is subjective, what is not is the fact it is federally protected and cannot be garnished (within the parameters of this case). As a result, my child support doubled, and my employer has noted that the legal limit for garnishment has been met. Since the hearing I have reached out to Bob several times with no response. To fix this I somehow need to come up with thousands more while being the sole provider to a household of three to include a small child. I am writing this in hopes someone looking for an attorney does not make the same mistake I did in acquiring the services of Bob Stein as I assume you yourself will be piggybacking on this thread.

Stein is horrible. Sellout. He "represented" me on 31 Aug 23 only to find out he did NOT have a valid license. He wouldn't prep me for the hearing. "Forgot" about the hearing. I think he "forgot" because he knew he didn't have a law license that day. One of his best: Stein, "You married the wrong woman." Stein, if I married the wrong woman, what do I need you for?

Bob will focus on your case and your goals, and help you to keep your focus on your goals and outcome, and not get distracted by the things that don't matter. Bob understands the ups and downs and emotions that you are going through and will work to help you focus on the important aspects of the case and to try and get you the best result that you need. Bob cares about people, and that the right things is accomplished in the courtroom.

Bob Stein initially handled my daughters out of state divorce. She picked him because he initially contacted her. Apparently this is how he gets business by checking various divorce filings and seeing who doesn’ t have representation. My daughter hired him and I paid him 500.00. He did virtually nothing . She was served in August by her husband in Fl. She lives in Mo. she had approximately 20 days to respond. My daughter called and texted and emailed with no response time was ticking away. My daughter and I had a phone conference with him and he yelled at us. He did a sloppy job on the pet ion response. My daughter questioned it as did I. He again did not respond to her questions and concerns about the answer he wrote. We sent documents to his assistant and asked for a simple response as receiving it and heard nothing. So on Thursday before her answer was due the following Monday I searched for a new attorney and found one who was willing to help. The new female attorney immediately filed an appearance on my daughters behalf so that her case would not go into default. . My daughter fired Bob Stein. Lo and behold, he actually called her. He then sent her an email saying her current new attorney was not doing a good job. I told my daughter to forward the email to her new attorney who then blasted him for his incompetence. My daughters new attorney filed a detailed response protecting my daughter and within a few days she and her estranged husband came to an agreement. We expect the divorce to be finalized very soon. If Bob Stein had handled it my daughter probably would have gone to default and she would have lost everything that was hers premarital. Stay away from this lazy lousy attorney who apparently doesn’ know anything. I wonder how many complaints he has from the Florida Barr?

Honest hard working, knowledgeable and happy he was on our side. He counseled and prepared us to handle the legal challenges that lay ahead. Thank you Mr Stein.

Initially, Mr. Stein was a superstar, saying all the right things, telling me what I needed to hear until I paid him 1,500 through a grant I received to help me with my divorce to go to a support hearing that got rescheduled due to his scheduling conflict and not being prepared. He did not look at documents that were sent for review and when documents were typed they were often wrong and I had to correct them. He had everything he needed and at first, seemed like the perfect attorney for my case, as time went on he made excuses, stopped listening to my warnings, concerns, and feelings because everything was at a reduced or flat rate so you could afford to be represented with other services to be added later if necessary. I tried to fire him which he was fine with until I asked for a partial refund since he did not do what he was hired to do, but instead did other things that cost me time. When I told him his services were no longer needed he decided to stay on as counsel of record until I found someone else to represent me keeping me from seeking services from legal aid. He was also sick when you needed his help, made excuses, and as a survivor of domestic abuse I did not get the representation I really needed or deserved. In family law, you need someone who will fight for you, not with you, or against you... maybe in other areas of law, he is okay and should focus only on those areas. If you are looking for family law/divorce, custody, support look elsewhere, I beg you. Always check any documents he sends you for accuracy, and if he starts feeling sick, you are in trouble because he will have several oversights, file motions he is not prepared for that will cost you time and more money, especially if you have to find another attorney to remove him from your case so you can finally get the help you need. He will take your money, provide you with shoddy legal representation since he is trying to get to know the other attorneys, judges, etc since he is somewhat new to the area... If I could give him no stars I would but that is not an option, do your homework for family law and stay far, far, away from Mr. Stein, I was so shocked by his attitude and cavalier treatment of me that I waited a bit before posting as not to do so in anger. This was difficult for me because I try to believe the best in everyone. You want the best help and sometimes you can't afford to spend a lot of money, that does not mean you should be treated the way I was. I would not recommend him for anything, you can always find another attorney, you can't however get back time and money that were wasted so look at all reviews before making this choice.

Bob did so much to help me. He took my calls whenever I needed him and explained everything to us. He was the best lawyer we could have hoped for and I don't usually give reviews. I feel like he explained everything so good and didn't overcharge me. I would tell everyone to use him.

Robert was great as he worked had to get me the 50/50 custody I wanted for my son. He stayed on top of the case, stood his ground and was there whenever I needed him to be. I'll use him again, and will recommend him to anyone.

I hired attorney Robert Stein a month ago and he did a fantastic job at the court room with my case, my daughter father took me there requesting child custody and a motion for violating court agreement, I brought 2 witnesses and thanks to the job Robert did coming with really great questions to my witnesses and to myself, we could win the case and the judge found him lying and denying his petition, I’m really satisfied with the job, effort and the knowledge he has in this cases, I trust him 100% and I will keep him to help me filing my request to the court to change parental responsibility shares and schedule and get to be the primary custodial parent, I trust him with the next step and his advice, I’m proud of him! Congratulations and highly recommend him

Bob is kind compassionate and friendly As well as being very knowledgeable He knows his stuff and he will fight for you with everything he’s got. He fights for you like is fighting for his own family. He was hired in our family for a difficult divorce situation complex with custody and child issues. He takes the time to listen to details he pays attention and follows through. Couldn’t be more pleased.

I highly recommend Bob as your lawyer. I’m so glad I went with my gut. I did my research and I saw everyone had some bad reviews mixed in with the good ones so I took a chance on Bob. I’m really glad I did. All I wanted was fair visitation rights. It has been such a struggle these past years. Everything was against me, I don’t have money to waste and this was my last hope. I am so grateful for Bob’s expertise and honestly. Really, thanks.

Bob is the best attorney I have ever used. I am a single, hard working mother of twin boys, and Bob really helped to keep the cost down, while being knowledgeable, polite and respectful. I felt he gave my case his all, answered my calls and questions in a timely and professional manner and well organized. I liked him so well that I referred a good friend of mine to him. If I need representation in the future, I would hire him again.
