23+ years ago, Joe Zarzaur spoke with me one week before the statute of limitations was up for my daughter’s personal injury case. She was injured at birth and due to Florida statute of limitations I had until her second birthday to file a lawsuit. However due to her injury, the pediatric surgeons weren’t even going to know the extent of the lasting injury until they performed surgery after she was two years old and then she would need to go to years of PT and OT. First he was shocked I waited so long, but he understood why I waited. He jumped into action right away. Over the next three years he worked hard on the case. Even when we moved 3,000 miles away across the country, he flew me down to participate in depositions. As a young single mother, I was targeted by the defense counsel and asked very inappropriate questions that he struck down to protect me and my daughters case. In the end, he was able to negotiate a handsome settlement that would go into a structured settlement for my daughter. And the one thing that I truly appreciated is that they took decreased fees to ensure that after all the expenses (experts, doctors, travel), that my daughter didn’t receive a payment less than the law firm. They also found an amazing local attorney to help setup the guardianship of her limited estate so that I could manage her settlement although I specifically wanted it held for her until she was an adult. My experience with Mr Zarzaur was always pleasant and as stress free as possible. I see him on social media from time to time and smile because I felt like he truly did the best possible for my daughter and I’m confident that anyone working for him is passionate about their cases as well. Any for the record, even twenty years later he hasn’t aged a bit! 😃
