I stopped in today to see Mr burns on a dissolution of marriage issue but I wasn’t expected what happened next first of all I just showed up with notice or an appointment some my see that as rude and I slightly agree but I just want to be done with this marriage so as I walk in I was immediately greeted by attorney Steele just as we began talking Mr burns appeared from his office like a super hero I greeted him hello Mr Burns how are you and the greeting was reciprocated so he asked me what was going he invited me to his office I begin to explain to him my situation he then began to give me expert advice on how to handle my situation which was very insightful very down to earth straightforward man I recommend Mr Burns for many reasons after an hour of conversation I realize god he’s human just like me I felt important and get this after showing up to his office unannounced towards the end of our conversation he turned and said you don’t owe me anything infact you can do this yourself I’m not gonna take your money for something you can accomplish on your own I was damn are serious so who wouldn’t want an attorney like James Burns one things for certain he has a client forever just genuine, good people are hard to find but I found one today I plan to keep on my side again Mr Burns ty Dennis Blackmon

I do not where to start regarding how much I appreciate Mr. Burn’s help and his office too. He has from day one gone far beyond what I expected from a divorce/custody lawyer, and I will always owe him for that. Always honest, not making up comforting lies to save himself the extra work of not upsetting you as a client there and then, because he believes in honesty and respect, and wants his clients the genuine best. Mr. Burns is with other words, a compassionate person and lawyer, and I recommend him to everyone and especially if you are military or going through a military divorce. He’s close to base, so that’s also a plus. His staff is always friendly and helpful, always polite and understanding, even at my worst days when I’ve been there and not been in my best mood due to the case we were dealing with. They always kept me on track, telling me “you can do this” and encouraging words like that, which truly means everything for a person going through a difficult period in life. THANK YOU AGAIN, Mr. Burns, you are the best lawyer and legal advisor a person could ever ask for, and God bless you for that!

Mr. Burns and his staff were very informative and respectful in helping me with my case. The promptness and communication with any questions I might have had exceeded all expectations. I hate to even give him one star because he absolutely does not deserve it. We hired him to represent me for my custody case and at first I was so happy and relieved to have a lawyer, but when I tell y'all he literally did NOTHING in my defense, I mean he obviously did not review any of the facts and the numerous documents and evidence that myself and my parents submitted to him, he did not submit ANYTHING no documentation at all in my defense, and he called NO witnesses. He is so loud, mean, rude, and refused to listen to me as his client. It was so bad that I literally cried and begged for him to listen to me and he still wouldn't so I actually went home and typed up several pages of everything he needed to know to help me with the case and turned it in weeks before the final hearing and he never even looked at it. We submitted photos and emails and showed them how my son's father committed perjury on the original documents and they assured me over and over that they were going to file this motion and that motion and they never did. Miss Debbie did at least a little bit to help in the beginning but she went on vacation and everything right in the middle of it all and when the final hearing came it was a zoom conference and he knew almost nothing about the case and I was literally sitting next to him writing notes nonstop having to explain everything and he basically ignores all of it and then had the nerve to tell me during the lunch break that I "might as well give the kid to his dad because that's what's going to happen anyways" and I was so upset I told him that he is supposed to be helping me, not discouraging me saying things like that. I was crying and repeating over and over that he knew nothing about the case and that he was going to cause me to lose my son and that is exactly what happened. Keep in mind that my son is 12 and he's special needs and he has been with me all his life; his dad was in jail or rehab or just didn't care about being in his life until he found religion and decided that he wanted to be dad and take our son from everything he knows and is used to which is very important since he is autistic. His lawyer was very thorough and prepared and made all his lies very believable and she completely ate us up in the final hearing. I am devastated and so angry and I know that if I had a decent lawyer that actually tried, I would never have lost my son. Please, do not use this man to represent you, he does not care about his clients at all. The absolute worst!!!!!!!!!
