If you need help with Family Law then Earlynn Stillwell is your attorney! My case was a bit difficult and she never failed me. I live in Alabama and had to fight my custody battle in Florida and she always made sure that I was informed correctly to help guide me in making the right decisions. Even when the judge said he didn't think it was best to involve a guardian ad litem, Earlynn filed the paperwork anyway. She knew that our situation warranted my children having a voice of their own. She referred me to the guardian that was hired and without that guidance, my children may not be home today where they belong. I am eternally grateful to Earlynn and her entire team!

I can’t recommend this attorney because it was too hard to get a hold of her. I was not able to get contacted for a consultation, after multiple attempts over a week. I decided to seek another attorney after the phone call appointment this morning came and went with no call, no email, no anything. It’s disheartening because she said this morning and this time would work.. it was her own suggested date and time, she got to pick. I would have appreciated even a “Can we reschedule, something came up,” or any communication at all, but none came. I scheduled time out of my work day for my 30 minute consultation and never heard anything. Since it was already difficult to get the consultation to begin with, I did not find it in my best interest to remind her of our phone appointment this morning that was missed. I just do not feel valued enough as a client so I will seek help elsewhere.

I found Mrs. Stillwell in 2017/2018 she made my divorce process a breeze, as much as she could. It was a trying and complicated year going through the process but she always helped me understand all the court jargon so I was fully aware of what was happening! Divorcing with 2 children and being military is never a great combo but she helped me our tremendously! I would and have recommended her to others!

At hearing today, Judge stated all paperwork in order and signed it right then! Thank you for the quick turn around on this infant adoption in Santa Rosa County.

I am in the middle of my divorce and I am so pleased with Mrs. Stillwell and her assistant/paralegal Tina, I had to write a review before my case is over. They take of business and keep me informed on what may happened next, what will happen next and what will be our next move. If my spouse/opposing law firm did not meet a deadline or an extension , then they (Stillwell Law) would file the next document immediately, to let them know "we are not playing". Mrs. Stillwell explained the divorce proceedings very clear and I understand that nothing is guaranteed, it’s up to the judge, so even if I do not get what I want, my opinion and experience will not change. She is very knowledgeable in military divorces and I’m soooo happy I retained her to represent me. It does help that you do your part also, if she need paperwork from you by a certain date, get it to her. Help her help you. The firm is very personable; they made me feel like I was their only client. No matter how many questions I had or emails I sent, Tina would explain in detail and responded to my emails. Love this team, they ROCK!!!!

I read the reviews and I have to admit at first I was a little skeptical about making an appointment with this attorney. I decided to give it a try and I have to say I am so glad that I did! Attorney Stillwell is the best! She has been great through my entire divorce case. Anytime I had a question she was there to answer. Her staff was wonderful and very patient with me as well. Not sure why the negative comments, everyone very professional and respectful each and every time I called or went by the office, and I must admit I called a lot. Again from the consultation to the end of my divorce Attorney Stillwell was there for me. I highly recommend this law firm.

Don't hire this attorney. She was so nice in my consult and made me feel great but that quickly wore away when I had questions about documents and my what my wife's attorney was saying to her who repeated back to me. I wonder if I could have done better sand saved more if I got a divorce for dummies book. The staff tries to help as much as they can but I paid the attorney her fee to EPO me not her secretary. In the end, my divorce is over, the attorney is paid and I'm left with a sour taste for the legal world. I don't recommend this attorney. Divorce is never easy to go through and an attorney who isn't there makes you feel lonely and wondering if you made the right choices.

I recommend this law firm for anyone looking for high quality, professional representation. They have great rates and the staff always made me feel as if my case was important. I always received timely correspondence on all of my inquiries, and although the situation I was dealing with wasn't the best, my time and money spent at Stillwell Law was well worth it. Great lawyer, with a great and knowledgeable staff! Thanks Stillwell Law!

Worst attorney on the gulf coast. The worst part about having a bad attorney like Earlynn Stillwell represent you in a divorce is that the courts will not allow you to go back and undo the enormous damage caused by poor legal council. Not only does Earlynn Stillwell not know the law but the entire time of my mediation Earlynn was preparing for her next case instead of giving me good legal advice. To add insult to injury Earlynn Stillwell charged me more than 4 times her original quote for an uncontested divorce and when I questioned her about the outrageous charges she told me if I did not pay her in full she would call the judge and stop my divorce. I found out later from another attorney this was a huge ethics violation and not something a Judge will allow. Nothing like a lawyer strong arming their client.

I finished up a case over a year ago that drained my bank account. I used a prominent attorney in Milton,Florida, and chose to go with stillwell because her retainer was affordable and she "works with you on payments".Like many lawyers, she seems competent to do the work required at consult, but then falls off the face of the earth after the retainer is paid. She could probably handle a case that was in the bag and required no work but if you need her to go to bat for you and get things done, she is not the attorney you should retain. She files incorrect information and cares more about emailing informally with opposing side than filing motions with the court. The office Lost my financial affidavit TWICE and came back and asked me for it a third time and I refused. They never answer the phone and leave the office early at whim so it is nearly impossible to get in touch. Left several voicemails and emails that went unanswered time and time again. Got a hearing that was too far out and needed one sooner because ex wife removed son from district he has attended school for two years and changed our visitation schedule we have followed just at whim, which was in complete contempt of our order. Stillwell said nothing could be done but she contacted opposing attorney AGAIN after me pleading to file a motion for contempt. She claimed she could file a motion for contempt "without delay" yet the very same day went and filed a motion to withdraw from my case without even ATTEMPTING to let me know. She needed to get paid for the emails sent back and forth to the other attorney that included misinformation and nothing I wanted done has been done. This has been a huge waste of time. I am making an appointment with Jennifer Byrom this week since my final hearing is merely a month away and nothing has been done to rectify what is going on. You get what you pay for and my child is definately worth the effort that I did not get here. I am very disappointed in the way this was handled and the lack of communication I have experienced with this office that has kept me wondering what is going on to the point that I have to keep up with my case thru the clerk of the court. Her filing a motion to withdraw was a blessing and I will be clear with my new attorney that communication is a MUST when it comes to working out an agreement for the most important thing to me...my child! And when I contacted her asking her why she has said nothing about the motion to withdraw, she said she automatically withdraws from cases that go over 500$. I have worked with a VERY prominent attorney in Milton,Fl and did not think I could afford him again because retainer was 2500.00 and I still had a 2500.00 bill when things were over and done but he worked with me from beginning to end and my bill was BEYOND 500.00 It was very strange and unsettling to me that she would email me in the morning stating she would file a motion for contempt without delay and by that afternoon, when I checked my mail I had a letter to withdraw. Very bad business. She should let you know upfront that she files motions to withdraw at whim and is proactive in communicating thru email with the opposing party instead of doing the work that needs to be done on YOUR behalf. I should have gone with the other attorney I used before or Byrom from the beginning as this was a waste of time. Not only has time passed with nothing done but also the misinformation presented on my behalf did not represent the things I wanted or what was in the best interest of my child.

This is an overall review of the office as a whole. Stillwell has a suitable retainer agreement for clients, but her staff have no clue what they are doing. The communication between staff and client takes over a week for someone to get back to you with an answer. The previous review about paperwork being lost is still correct. Staff continue to lose paperwork. The staff does not file documents in a timely manner and the attorney does not have her clients review legal documents before sending it to the recording office. Positive: Stillwell does take the time to explain and answer questions if you communicate with her directly. Negative: Her staff does not follow direction well by a) taking messages from a client and b) follow-up process for client/attorney communication
