Mr Effman is a very experienced and knowledgeable divorce attorney that dedicates his time, compassion and experience to his clients. He was very detailed, thorough and calm regarding my stressful situation. I strongly recommend him if you are looking for someone with experience and knowledge of family law. He is quite dedicated to his clients.

I hired Steven Effman and had the worst experience. He went through $8600 in less than 45 days and did absolutely nothing. He meet with me and discussed my case then told me it was gonna cost tens of thousands of dollars to take unnecessary depos when all he had to do was subpoena one person at my trial but I knew he was trying to run up his expenses as much as he could before my court date which was in 5 months. I agreed that he withdrawal because I knew he was just trying to suck as much money out of me before my trial and I knew that I could represent myself and do a better job and have my witness appear in court for free and I would save tens of thousands of dollars. BEWARE of attorneys that do alot of unnecessary depos and work when the results will be the same without it. I'm glad I saw what he was trying to do and didn't continue to pay him for lots of unnecessary costs. Do you research before you hire someone.

Mr Effman took over my case after a terrible experience with a previous attorney. He quickly and confidently fixed the huge damage that was done by a less knowledgeable attorney, and put me completely at ease from the first day I was lucky enough to make contact with him. He kept me informed every step of the way, listened to all my ideas and expertly weaved our way through the very complicated and often times completely unfair family law world. Dont make the same mistake I did at first. I was frustrated, miserable, angry after my divorce and hired the first attorney I called thinking they were all the same. Dont gamble with you and your childrens future! Do your homework and then hire an attorney that is experienced, knowledgeable and caring. It can save you, frustration, anger and complete disgust and of course thousands of dollars! Mr Effman is the best and I am so glad I was referred to him. Mr. Effman saved my case!! I had used another local divorce lawyer for my divorce- she was ok - not good enough to use again or recommend. So when I unexpectely had a family issue I did not want to use her , and i found someone I thought was good- but his "work" made matters worse! Lucky for me- I heard about Mr. Effman and decided to hire him to finish my family type case. He stepped right in and fixed all the mistakes -In literally the first 3 days of being represented by Mr. Effman he did more than the attorney I fired for the same case did in12 weeks!!!! What a huge difference. Mr. Effman is an amazing attorney. I was the innocent party in my case and the other attorney was calling all the shots! If I didnt hire Steve- I would of not gotten the desired result and otherside would of unjustly won because I didnt hire the right attorney! Thank you so MUCH!!

Paid him more than 30k and failed with everything. Ended up hiring another attorney to finish my divorce. Makes false promises and backs out of everything. Take your money with unnecessary meetings and conversations after which he never follows up with the other attorney. If there were negative stars this attorney would receive them. My 5 year old could've represented me better.
