Dirty facilities. Very unhygienic…especially for a doctors office. Doctor won’t return phone calls or have staff answer my healthcare questions and treatment questions. Doctor did not want to share/give me a copy of my medical records. No one would return my many phones calls regarding my records. Seemly more of a chop shop than a healthcare provide to me.

I went to Dr Tarr as a self pay sometime ago . I'm not lucky enough to have health insurance yes I work. Then the doctor got my blood work back and I had to make another appt to go over blood work. I wish we could have been able to discuss the results over phone due to my financial situation. And I just paid for my visit there . So now I have 200 as self pay cash money to see the Dr. However I made appt and the nurse called to tell me i needed blood work prior to appt when asking the cost she could not provide that. I asked for lab codes so i could personally call the labs and see who was most affordable. She could not provide that and canceled my appt. Not much compassion here. And I'm not asking for free just need to plan for my money I will need so I can save.

When I called to schedule a new patient rheumatology consult with Dr. Tar, the first appt available was not for 3 1/2 months. His office was extremely busy when Iarrived. The small waiting area did not have chairs separated to maintain social distance, but fortunately patient's were sitting every other chair, so I was able to find seat without sitting right next to someone. About an hour after I arrived, I was taken to a room for vitals, blood draw, brief review of my history & reason for my appt. I was incorrectly told at that time my insurance did not require prior authorization for treatment. However, another staff member confirmed the what my insurance had said that prior Auth was indeed required. Unfortunately, the process had not been completed prior to my appt inspite of my calling the office 2 weeks prior,, to let the office know who to contact for approval. Since this had not been completed, I was disappointed that I couldn't get this med during my appt. I was sent back to the waiting room. A while later another gal took me to a different room where eventually, Dr. Tar came in to see me. He was friendly and appeared to listen to me as we discussed my medical info. But then we were interrupted by knock on door, he left the room and never returned to resume my consult. I'm not sure if he got side tracked or thought we were done, but I thought he'd be back to finish our conversation. Instead I was taken up front to schedule tests & return visit. Overall, my appt took 2 hrs, 45 min, mostly spent in waiting room. I'm not sure if that's normal amount of time for appts or if there was extenuating circumstances today. But it was my first visit with Dr. Tar. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and thorough. So,, I pray my next appt takes considerably less time and the office has obtained the required prior authorization from my insurance.
