I never had an opportunity to show my gratitute and appreciation here in this website. Mr. Bolliger took my case in 2017 against BMW not wanting to honor the warranty and finding every little excuse to avoid having to replace my engine. They were asking me to pay over $30,000 to replace the engine. We contacted Mr. Bolliger and WOW!! the experience from start to finish was amazing!!! He definitely exceeded our expectations and we will always be grateful for his service and professionalism. He fought for us in mediation until we won! Thank you Mr. Bolliger!!

To make a long story short a family member was in an accident opposite attorneys did everything to throw us under the bus. S Ballinger did what he does best law. I have never in my life of dealing with attorneys and Co Council attorneys. Mr. Bullinger always made my family feel like a part of his, And yes he Won the case. But after four years I found out he was not about money it’s about principle of law and right. There’s no amount of money that can make you feel as good as we felt knowing he was there. I think him, We think him from the bottom of our hearts. We were blessed to have Aldo as our attorney the Bowman’s

Great services, professional, swift, straight forward, and painless. Thank you John and Ricardo!!! I do not live in the Tampa Bay area, I live in Fort Myers and could not find a Lemon Law lawyer locally. I'm glad I searched outward to a larger city and found Bolliger Law Group. This is their forte. The reviews on AVVO.com were what sold me on using them, they more than met my expectations. I didn't have to drive to Tampa, all communication was handled promptly via email and phone. My claim was simple and straight forward, transmission issues with my 2016 Jeep Charokee under 2 years old. I had all the initial documentation to them by late June, we had a little bit of a negotiation battle with the manufacturer and received an acceptable settlement offer by late August, I expect a check in September. Very informative, they follow up, they get things done. They tell you upfront what the process will most likely be like. They tell you the potential timelines for each action that may be taken. They tell you what is expected of you. They give you a list of documentation that you need and how to obtain any missing pieces. They give you your options, and you decide how you want to proceed. A side note: Documentation is absolutely key, make sure everything is noted on the service tickets, and don't hold off on going to the dealership and get your continued issues documented, read the notes on the service tickets that day, take photos of error codes on the dash, take video of your issues if possible, take a screenshot of mileage when you drop the vehicle off for service and when you pick it up to verify how many miles they test drove it. Keep your expectations reasonable, while this is personal to you and emotional at the end of the day this is business for everyone else. While we all feel like we should not only get a full replacement vehicle with all the bells and whistles for our frustration; that is not going to happen. Know what you feel comfortable with settling for and let them know, and at the end of the day remember this process is to help you MOVE ON from your current situation.

Mr. Cervellera recently assisted me with my real estate business - making sure I had all my ducks in a row with the creation of my LLC and fictitious name. He also advised me on how I should properly use both on contracts, the internet, etc. to keep me out of legal hot water. He was thorough and yet made things easy to understand. I will definitely use him in the future for my corporate law needs.

I hired Donnie recently in Pinellas County and I'm beyond grateful I did. He was proactive immediately after taking over my case. From the very beginning, he made me feel like he truly cared and wasn't in it just for the money. I remember Donnie told me, he'd fight for me 110% and thats exactly what he did!

We hired Donny recently and found him to be professional, very thorough, detailed, and expressed genuine concern for his client and the outcome of the case. In addition, he always returned calls, was dependable, and explained everything in detail. We are very pleased with his representation and results could not have been better. I would highly recommend Mr. Kilfin as your attorney.

I ran into a situation in Pinellas county. Hired him the next day or so. Yeah, it cost some money. Very much worth it. He totally gave me a worry free representation. I didn't even show up for a single court date. He conveyed what needed to be conveyed to whomever it needed to be conveyed to understand the dynamics of what was really going on in the case. And he won. Has the right legal foundation. Aggressive approach. Hard working. He has a complete network. Lot of years working with all of the different outfits that concern law in his area. Stop looking for any other attorney right now. You just hire this guy cuz I said so.

What Questions Should I Ask Before Hiring a Lawyer?

Hiring the right lawyer is crucial for the success of your case. Here are some important questions to ask during your initial consultation:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Saint Petersburg, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
