(SECOND EDIT: The fact that Steve tried to deny that I was his client, even as I have a photo of my face on my profile which means he's KNOWINGLY denying representing me, just proves what a slimeball lawyer he is. Slick, deceptive backstabbing behavior is typical of lawyers, and here we have the perfect example in Stephen Maltezos.) Steve is a plea-bargain lawyer. If you plan on going to trial, avoid this guy. I did five calendar years for a crime I didn't commit, with all the evidence in my favor. He actually had to work against me in order to assure the state's conviction. In fact, he insured that I was denied due process. I had a self-defense case, he presented a mutual combat case, right under my nose. (EDIT:) Stephen Maltezos is claiming this is a fake review.
