I gave Mike one star because there was not an option to rate him any lower. I paid the man $1,500 to help conduct the short sale of my home in 2012. He promised me the world but did little to nothing to make it happen. I get it, these transactions are complex and don't always goes as the seller (me) would like. But the thing is, when I asked him for an update and partial refund since he couldn't come through as promised, he chose to insult me instead. He was loud, crude and exceptionally unprofessional on the phone. He shouted and cried poor, saying he had kids to put through school, a boat payment and an expensive wife etc. He then had the audacity to call me "one of the entitlement generation" because I dared to ask him to do his job. A job I paid in advance to be done. Entitlement generation? I'm older than him by the way, and retired from the military. Obviously he's not a good judge of people. He doesn't want to refund me even though he failed in his promise? Ok, my mistake for trusting a "professional" to do what they say they will do. But to insult a client? What was the purpose in that? My advice, free of charge, is to stay away from this guy. I got a better lawyer who didn't insult me and actually came through on the short sale. Mr. Wycoff may be successful with some of his clients but please shop elsewhere.
