I strongly advise Do Not hiring this firm as your attorney. My experience was marked by significant issues. After signing up, it became nearly impossible to contact them. They were unresponsive to my questions and failed to provide any updates on my case. Communication was virtually non-existent until it was time to sign the settlement agreement. Additionally, I was charged a higher attorney's fee than a person who was in the same car as me because the firm made mistakes on their case. which seemed both Unfair and Unprofessional. Extra withholding fees were also charged without clear justification. When I sought clarification about the settlement, my inquiries were ignored, and the responses were dismissive. The settlement team leader told me, "Ma'am, just sign it so we can be done," which exemplified their lack of consideration and professionalism. Given these issues, I find it difficult to trust the firm's handling of cases.

After my car was totaled by a young man who ran a red light while speeding, and T-boned me, I reached out to Dennis Hernandez & Associates to help me with my injuries and to explore any way we could sue the responsible party as he broke the law and admitted fault at the scene. The one and only time I spoke with an attorney was the first day I contacted them. I sent all the pertinent documents and information as requested, and started attending physical therapy as I was instructed. During the following few weeks, I attempted to contact my lawyer again because I had questions and concerns, as I had just been through a traumatizing accident, and was taking Ubers to my physical therapy appointments and to work, which was hemorrhaging money. The only person I could ever speak to was the office paralegal named Marina. My lawyer was always unavailable. I did not feel comfortable asking my questions to the paralegal, who had not been helpful in connecting me to my lawyer and was not friendly to me. I was told, again by the paralegal, that suing and reimbursement are not concerns they handle and were my problem. I stopped wanting to speak to Marina about my case and continued to try to reach my lawyer. I made an appointment to have my lawyer call me the next day at a scheduled time. This appointment was set up with Marina. The day and time of the appointment came and went with no call or contact from anyone. I gave half an hour as a grace period and then had to call the office again myself. Marina informed me at this point that my lawyer was no longer with their firm. I had received no official letter alerting me my representation had changed, no updated contract, no notice from any source. Either my lawyer had suddenly quit that morning, since Marina made me the appointment the day before, or my lawyer had quit a while ago and Marina made a fake appointment with me. Marina told me another lawyer would be assigned to me. Feeling lost, I continued to go to my physical therapy appointments. A new lawyer did contact me and introduced herself as my new lawyer. I, to this day, have still never received any official documentation or contract updating the change in my representation. I kept trying, though, and tried calling to reach my new lawyer. The only person who ever seemed to be available was Marina, I was told. Marina asked me about my physical therapy and when I told her how many days a week I had been going, she told me that based on the information they had received from the insurance company and how much money I could be compensated for, I should reduce the days I go to physical therapy. I called the physical therapy office to notify them of my schedule change. The staff there asked me why I was reducing the frequency of my appointments. When I told them I was advised to do so by my law firm, they told me that was not correct, that I shouldn't need to reduce my appointments. I called Dennis Hernandez & Associates again, and of course, I could only speak to Marina. I just wanted to talk to my lawyer. Since that was not an option, I relayed to Marina that the physical therapy office told me not to reduce my appointments. Marina then outright denied telling me to reduce them. She stated, quite rudely, that paralegals are not authorized to provide legal advice. I asked her, why then did you provide legal advice to me? She denied doing so. Frustrated, I asked Marina if all our calls were recorded as the office machine informs me every time I call. She said they were in fact recorded. I told her that I wanted my lawyer to pull the calls in which she legally advised me and have only her contact me about my case from now on. Interestingly, my contact with the firm died out. I stopped my appointments and will not speak to Marina unless to remind her of the recorded calls. Recently they have been contacting me asking me to sign a release. According to my contract, a lawyer who no longer works at the firm represents me. I don't know what I'm even signing or why. They did literally nothing for me.

I had an accident in September. I signed a contract with the company Denniz Hernandes. The insurance company has already sent the check to them since October, as my case was simple and quick. So far I have not received the money, and when I call to inquire about my case, the paralegal says she will get back to me, and I do not receive a call back. Now there are almost 5 months of a lengthy internal process! They make it clear that because my process is of low value, it is not a priority.
