Two years ago, my late husband was a private, self-pay patient in an excellent skilled nursing facility. When it became obvious to us that we could not continue to keep him there without financial assistance from Medicaid, we consulted an elder care attorney. This attorney, in turn, suggested that we contact Gregory Kaiser, whose practice specialized in assisting clients to transition to Medicaid. How fortunate for us to have connected with Greg !!! Our first meeting with Greg (for which there was no fee) took place at the nursing home. He patiently explained, in easy-to-understand words, much of what would be involved to accomplish our goal. He told us what information we would be required to provide to him, approximately how long it would take to complete the necessary paperwork, the waiting period for approval of our application and what proved to be the most reasonable, all-inclusive cost for his services. Each time we met with Greg (and there were several meetings with both of us at the nursing facility and with me at Greg's office) we were treated with the utmost respect and concern. Phone calls to his office were returned almost immediately. Emails I sent on Sunday afternoons, expecting a response on Monday or Tuesday, were answered SUNDAY EVENINGS!!! His most competent office staff was always accommodating and helpful. It may be difficult for someone not involved emotionally in caring for a terminally ill patient to comprehend, but this sensitivity and consideration was as important to us as Greg's outstanding legal ability. Needless to say, Greg 'delivered' everything he promised, and then some. Sadly, my husband passed away, peacefully, four months ago. However, this did not end Greg's commitment to us. He has graciously continued to advise and counsel me as I experience the many legal challenges of widowhood. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, Greg Kaiser!
